Best:Valencia and Melchiot.
Worst:King and Kapo.
TL, I could be very wrong but maybe it is your belief that Martinez is not the right man for the job long-term is what made EL question the expectation of the darkside.
I am wondering, if you had the person you desired as our manager, what would you expect him to achieve in the next 3 years at Wigan?
“I judge a manager’s season as a success if they have made progress from the season before” :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead:
i don’t think Bobby will achieve that. Then again I didn’t think he would keep us up in his first season & he proved me wrong. I didn’t think that we’d stay up last season or that the team would progress in the way it I highlighted in my first post & he proved me wrong.
Long may that continue :happy-partydance: :happy-partydance: [/quote]So if you put that much stock on the need for a manager to make progress from the season before, why do you think a 37 year old manager who’s record reads 92 points in League One in 2007/8, 68 points in the Championship in 2008/9, 36 points in the Prem in 2009/10 and 42 points in the Prem in 2010/11 is not the right man for Wigan Athletic in the long-term?

A few weeks after Whelan had taken over he apparently refused to pay the program printers after several articles appeared in one issue with a heading and no content. One such heading was, “women in football”, we weren’t sure at the time if this was a mistake or a gag.
Incidentally, Arsenal have just gone 1-0 up against Chelsea at Tooting & Mitcham, Flaherty scoring after a corner was partially cleared.
The win at Spurs is a great, great memory and will remain so regardless of what happens this season. It will always be worth more than “nowt”.
Phew! For one ghastly split-second I thought I had written “credible individual”.
Is LMB actually implying that, “stop playing” is a managerial directive? A simply incredible individual.
There aren’t many Managers who are smart enough or brave enough to bring in players from their biggest rivals reserve team, loan or otherwise.
