We weren’t spectacular for sure, we didn’t create anything other than the 3 goals and we were very poor at the back. Expected with the makeshift back line.
But putting your chances away is certainly the most important part of any performance and we did that today.
Right now I don’t care how they play, as long as they win. Gotta do something about these sloppy goals. That’s 4 soft goals in two games now.
520 and 115 are both Wigan. We have up to 524 in the upper tier.
As you come off the M5 turn right over the motorway, take the first exit off the roundabout, Birmingham Road, take the first turning left you enter an industrial estate, there is a pub here called The Vine that is a mixed fans pub, there is loads of parking here including plenty Wiganers.I’ll be going the Vine, do you know how much it is to park there?
I think I would have to be offered a lot to sell to a City fan. We are pretty close to selling out, and i’d rather have an empty seat next to me than a City fan.
City have sold out,and if it wasn’t for City fans buying up all the £115 tickets there would be huge gaps in your end[/quote]
The £115 tickets were virtually sold out before they went on sale to ST holders. They were sold to corporate members and players. Peculiarly a new block of £115 tickets went on sale today.
We have sold out two categories of tickets, and we had sold out a third before we received some more. We are somewhere around 22,000. Not sure where this idea of huge gaps has come from. How many City fans have managed to get Wigan tickets? Less than 200 i’d wager.
Apparently there a few side streets that are free to park on off the main road that the ground is on.

I definitely celebrated the Everton result more than the Millwall result.
Probably a combination of expectations and beating Everton meant we were at Wembley. If the Semi was at Villa Park (Like it should have been) then perhaps I would have felt different.
About the Final, my excitement does seem limited. Perhaps its because we have two huge games before it, and maybe on Wednesday I will be massively up for the Final
has anyone seen on the west brom forum the club allocated 40 free coaches to take fans to Southampton at weekend as a thank you for following them all seasonhint to dave Whelan think of the fans more
as I have said before on this point I personally wouldnt go on a coach but I am sure a lot would
I prefer to not use coaches if possible, but I would definitely use it for free.
It’s good to see a club rewards it’s fans regardless. I doubt we would ever do that.
Still confused as to where this idea that Jones has more defensive ability than the rest of the midfielders currently at our disposal has come from…Same.
However, I do recall him playing at left CB earlier this season and he actually had a really good game. Can’t for the life of me remember who it was against.
Might have been Reading?
What’s wrong with trying to promote and grow interest in something you’ve spent a lot of time (and money?) on?
Do you think Wigan will get to the Europa League final?I expect Martinez to show the same enthusiasm for European cup games as he does for domestic ones.
If you want to see Wigan in a game abroad, you’d better go to the first one.
No, and if after drawing 1-1 with Bournemouth at home you told me we would get to the FA cup final I would called in the men with the white coats.
I’m sorry but I don’t understand the mentality of the Europa Leahue being a burden. It is something to be excited about, and enjoy.
Sure it will add extra strain on the squad. But hopefully it will also provide many many great nights.
Anybody heading to the Vine? Reckon a fair few Wiganers will be in there.
Aye. It’s just a place to rest my weary head. If I’m honest ill probably be too far gone to find the place!
I am staying in some random, non-descript 2 star hotel in Harrow.
As I’m only staying for the night and will be extremely inebriated I went purely for price, whilst aiming to get close to Wembley. I think it’s costing me £17 for the night.
I could have gone full on cheapo and gone for a hostel, but I do want some privacy.
