We have been absolutely dire today.
Sunderland beating Chelsea. Doubly bad for us.
Team is unchanged. I like it.
Superb opening post. Really well done. 5 stars.
;)
Beers in the fridge, roll on 4.10.
No. There will be a coin toss to decide who wears the home strip. There was a coin toss for this match too.
Villa winning today wasn’t that big a deal really. It has sucked a few more teams into the mix and our destiny is still well within our own hands. This, this and more of this. We will beat QPR and Sinderland will lose and so will the barcodes. By 7pm tomorrow we will be 2 clear of relegation with 5 teams around us. It’s going to be an exciting end and we are definitely ready for the fight.
3 wins gets us to 39. That may not be enough this year.
Have you tried ringing the ticket office and explaining your situation? Some people without purchasing history have managed to get tickets.
Interesting to hear how people from outside Wigan started following Wigan.
I grew up and still live in Ashton, so this thread isn’t for me but I may as well tell my tale. My family are all Everton fans and as a kid I supported Everton. My youth team were offered tickets to go and watch Wigan Athletic for free and most of the team went. Me and 2 others thought it was brilliant watching football as we had never really done so. So we started going every home game around 2001 when it was £1 for us kids. After a while I realised I stopped caring when Everton won or lost but the Wiagn result mattered a whole lot to me. Not looked back since.
Do you ever post about something other that Warriors?
19 March 2013; Franco Di Santo insists he is happy to remain with relegation-threatened Wigan, despite his contract expiring at the end of the season. The former Chelsea man is happy with Wigan’s progress this season and wants to be a key part of Roberto Martinez’s plans at the DW Stadium.

All Di Santo says in that article is that he wants to remain in the Premier League. He says nothing about staying at Wigan. That’s all the interpretation of the author.
Decent although it claims we are running at a loss but didn’t we make a profit last year?
Nah. I heard from a good source that we haven’t sold any tickets and the club have given all 32k to Millwall.
Although contracts mean fook all these days Maloney has signed an extension to his contract not long ago and Kone’s deal was 2 and half years I thinkKone’s deal was 3 years. I highly doubt we will sell him this summer unless we get offered silly money.
Would you sell him for £10 million? You’d probably say yes but we’ve struggled so much to find a good striker and spent a lot of money on dross strikers I’d be tempted to say no.
Well Phil Dowd is the referee. So we are nailed on to not be given a stone wall penalty and to get somebody sent off for a nothing tackle.
