Fair play Garswood !
I like a good swearing rant as much as the next person but there is a time and a place :)
2 of those were non starters cos I don’t think they want to be on their own or pushed out wide .We also tried to get Maynard 6 months before but wouldn’t stump up 3.5 mill asking price so missed the boat on that one .Does any poster know the reason Maynard turned us down last window because I do ?Because he took one look at this board and thought fook that ! :dry:
A group of lads got on my train at Moorside-Swinton.
Heard them talking about finding the ground so I asked them what the crack was…
One had won a ticket through that Barclays ticket give away and brought his 6 mates along for the journey.
Assuming his mates all bought a ticket its not a bad coup!
If we can keep up the level of performance from the last 2 games we are going to go down fighting with our heads held high. We all know the arguements Lightside and Darkside but we played really well yesterday and actually it was exciting. It was probably our best home performance of the season and the only down side was we didn’t win when we created enough chances to win 3 games.spot on hinders..
Was very happy yesterday but I am at a complete loss as to how we didn’t put some of those chances away.

I had a great idea once but nobody took me up on it and it was really original and definitely would have gotten the media’s attention !
It was pre vuvuzala as well ! It was kazoos ! If we had loads of kazoos doing the great escape theme tune it would sound awesome !! The vuvzala sort of blew my idea out of the water because of its annoying tone ! An inside mole has made me aware that young Tim Chow who plays for the reserves recently turned 18 and will be signing a pro contract with the club this saturday at half time. Only if the result is going good though apparantly. Hes been putting in some decent performances for the reserves. As any1 who watches them will know. I think there trying to plug that hes a born and bread Wigan lad but hes actually from St Helens.It’s close enough :cheer:
Its because Griff they have no ideas to answer (just like Jewell and Bruce) the dilemma that as a club we are punching far above our weight…
However Roberto Martinez has clearly sat down and put in place the sort of long term plans that can allow us to compete with teams that make more revenue in pie sales than we do in gate receipts.
Currently we have had two of our wingers from the development squad go out and make a very good impression in the Championship…
It wasnt too long ago one of our hottest prospects on the lips of Wigan fans was none other than Magno Viera who although is doing very well at Fleetwood Town I hear …. is a good representation of how far we have come when you compare him to the likes of Dicko and Cruyff’s grandson ( please refer to youtube video for indication of his ability )
Spain and Barcelona are a mile away in standard from England and any other English club and probably will be for the forseeable future.

And to call Martinez a failure when he has kept the club for last 2 seasons without a striker who cannot hit the fucking back of the net like all strikers should do is insane and surely only strengthens the fact that tactically we are very strong.
As said previously in another thread if Martinez had the money that Bruce was spending on an average season we could easily afford Defoe or a simlilar striker of his quality…

I dont live miles away but obviously have to get a train in to Wigan and then get down to the ground so I have never been early enough to know when the players arrive?
If im too late then the thought was there and a couple of pre game scoops will more than make up for it (in my mind) :)
