Considering the amount of games we play and that Rosler has come in half way through the season the squad rotation and constant tinkering with the tactics is understandable.

on another thing i dont think we would have had the strength in depth to have made a good run at europa league and put in a shift for the fa cup and still have a hankering for the play off places, something would have to give. someone mentioned hindsight earlier ask yourself what would you want from the team if we had got roseler in first has i dont think we could manage success on three fronts. what is your priority this season

I know what you mean and perhaps if Rosler or anyone else would have got appointed we still wouldn’t of qualified.

I just completely disagree that any of those teams in the group had a better squad of players than us but to go out there playing the same school yard tactics that he did in every match was an absolute shambles!

Spot on about him interviewing well! I didn’t want the appointment but in his post appointment interviews he said all the right things. I think Whelan had been convinced Coyle was a good fit for the players we retained. I think Coyle in his own head thinks he plays good attractive football.

Looked like we were playing 4-4-1 every game as the CM’s were bypassed at every opportunity with them taking turns on who would turn invisible for 20 minute spells.

If posters have genuinely been driven away by Griff I think that says a lot more about them than him.

Grow a pair ffs its only a message board ! who actually takes this seriously enough to get that bothered by it?

Probably spouted this on here before but it pisses me off when man utd fans who have lived in Salford all their lives ask why I support Wigan when I am not from Wigan.

Without going into my choice of team the town of Wigan has a population of approx 82K of which a large percentage of fans turn out to see their local team week in week out.

Salford has a population of 240K!! If the same percentage of fans from Salford supported their local team instead of riding the glory boat across the river irwell you would have 40K people turning out to see Salford City FC every week instead of 500.

If Salfordians call Wigan a rugby town then that makes Salford a rugby city ten times over.

I dont get the hate towards Posh and Beckham….

Beckham is arguably one of the best set piece taker and crossers of the ball world football has ever seen. He gave his all in every match he played for club and country. Add to that the millions he has raised or directly donated to charities around the world then you can see why people were talking about him for a knighthood.

As for Posh as naff as it was Spice Girls has to be considered one of the biggest girl bands ever! especially in terms of revenue generated! Add to that a succesful career in fashion she clearly has an astute sense for business. And more important than all that I would still give her one.

Too much hate on this board recently. Share the love.

This long standing obsession of 2 up front is a perfect example of Wiganer’s being ten years behind the rest of the world…

I called for 2 strikers under Coyle as it would of suited his hit and hope schoolyard football “style” but whatever Rosler has changed it is certainly for the better so lets leave it to him for now.

But lets hope it doesn’t take 3 years to sink in again that we are back to playing a front three!!!!!!!!

If you are ever confused about the above there is a simple test you can do.

Comapare where Mcmanaman and Mclean were in possession of the ball under Coyle to where they are in the possession of the ball now.

Hey presto your wingers just became forwards.

Richard bouazan ?? Dutch winger. That’s probably spelt wrong.
he springs to mind when thinking of our pointless PL signings.

If we are going for crap half of bruces signings would be in there.

How long before “Bottom Four Bob” has Everton at the wrong end of the table?

It was a ridiculous thread from the start. Don’t blame me – I didn’t start it!

For some reason, lots of people have willingly contributed to it. But nobody makes you read their comments – surely you can find something better to do.

Nobody has to read the thread but if you are a regular visitor to the forum and see the thread has been dragged back up once again its natural to click on and see what is being said.

Sadly its the same thing that has been said for the last 22 pages.

Even the original poster seems to have lost interest long ago.

My biggest fear is if they manage to get Zaha on loan.

He can be a bit hit and miss from what I have seen of him but if he is on form he will cause all sorts of problems for the likes of Beausejour or Crainey.

I may just take an FA Cup win and a relegation. With Ole rebuilding the squad and getting them playing we could come back stronger.

They want to be us

Cardiff … Not too bad …

City v Chelsea & Arsenal v Liverpool is good news for the likes of us mortals.

The Daily Mail doing a story about unscrupulous journalism :S

in reply to: Ramis to Cardiff #126385

I have a feeling there was a relegation release clause for Ramis providing a minimum fee was met.

Word on the street is Cardiff are offering silly wages that put Palace out of the running too.

After Boyce’s performance yesterday I can see him getting a run at CB so I am not too worried to be honest as he rarely lets us down.

in reply to: Latics v Palace #126382

Mclean would be great if he would lift his head up

Couldn’t agree more, can go past a man then knock a ball into empty space and yesterday one on one with the keeper all he had to do was a side pass and Powell knocks the ball into an empty net. But saying that he had a good game yesterday and he will always give you 100%, onwards and upwards.

What’s the betting we’ll get City or Everton next round.[/quote]

He did have a good game yesterday but as you said he should of laid it to Powell for an easy goal.

Rosler wasn’t happy judging by the way he toe pecked a water bottle down the touch line and I don’t blame him.

Easily could of cost us the win through his greed.
