no online tickets today so best views will have gone tomorow

    http://www.wiganlatics.co.uk/news/article/13-03-18-ticket-details-fa-cup-semi-final-723090.aspx?pageView=full#anchored

No Telephone sales today but you can buy online and as for the best views they are selling them in blocks starting at the royal box and working their way round so if you want the corner q up in the cold but if you want directly behind the goals then wait a few hours or even a day.

All a bit strange a team placed geographically like Sunderland (with only one other team in the top league anywhere near them) criticising our crowds! On the example cited you could argue Bolton given their history are a much bigger side and much more attractive than bloody Bournemouth. Still 35% is a superb turn out for such a massive club with a 49000 capacity stadium. A better comparison may be the time you played Colchester a couple of years ago and got 13,500 on. 27% by my reckoning. Hardly impressive for a club as big as yours!

I wouldn’t bother with all this crowd comparison nonsense MD. Your fans have always been as fickle as anyones. You lose 10 to 15k every time you go down. On the other hand we have one of the largest expanding fan bases in the country. As Bobby said last year:

”We have trebled our crowds but never lost our family feel. If i am not wrong we have 11,000 season ticket holders, which is a seventh of Wigan’s population. If other football clubs had that ratio, their grounds would not be big enough. From the inside, we know that where we were 10 years ago to where we are now”

Youre just a big fish in a small pond. Why has your ‘massive club’ not won a major trophy for 40 years?

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! :woohoo:

Where is the bloody like button!!!!!
Underneath, where it says “Thank You” ;)
I have already done that, but the bloody thumbs up isnt big enough, i wish everybody would just fuck off about our crowds, we have proved this for the past 10 seasons when we have been punching above all the so called big clubs, they dont bloody matter.

    How’s this for an idea.

Clearly we can’t afford what Palace value Zaha at but looking at how a few players have used our club as a stepping stone, Moses being the last and McCarthy not far off moving up the ladder we should offer Palace £3M but stick a 70% or 80% sell on in with the deal so we make him a better player and get a couple of years out of him while in the process increasing his value and making Palace a bigger profit.

I was talking about this at work last night and said that we are due a good decision and wouldnt it be funny if we got a proper dodgy call tomorrow. It would be interesting what Father Jack called us and whilst he was throwing his toys out of the pram he will probably take his Chilean striker home with him.

    in reply to: Penalties #98804
Was told recently that we’ve had six penalties given against us this season (more than any other club) but i can only think of 5. Arsenal, Newcastle, Everton, Stoke & Chelsea. Have i missed one and if so which one is it.

All bar the Newcastle one have been at home which would suggest we are a dirty side! Totally the opposite i would say, if anything we are a bit too soft at times so why so many against us? If it carries on at this rate we’ll have had Ten by the end of the season…

Law of averages means we must be due to good decision soon? If not then i’ll gladly accept a dodgy one :cheer:

    United away, Ali saved it

Come on you latics….with one bloke form mungo jerry or sumut

And it was aweful as you can imagine

For some strange reason i’ve always liked it  that one has obviously been altered, wasn’t it originally released mid eighties?
Yes it was originally released mid eighties i think it was around the time of our good FA cup run (still the furthest we have been) then redone for around 2003 for when we started moving up the leagues.

I play it on the stereo at work fullblast everynight after our break along with Lets hang on, im a believer and REM sidewinder (listen to the chorus it sounds like Bobbys a Wiganer) done this eveynight since we beat Blackburn, all the knobenders at work now no the words and sing along to it. :cheer:
