Phew – that’s better.
Now I can go back to rearranging my dominoes collection. ;)
Pedant alert:
League One, not Division One :)
Whelan’s countless money grabbing has totally de-stabilised the club
On the contrary, it has ensured we are financially sound.
And if you, and others, believe Whelan has “lined his pockets”, even after having read the published and audited accounts which need to pass scrutiny by the FA and League (I presume you have done this?), then you are deluded.
Do you know for sure that’s the reason, John, or just speculation?
I’ve heard nothing about such plans, except to make a “singing section”. There are, or were, no plans to shut any particular areas.
What did the letter actually say?
Ah. Newsnow reporting from a blog a bit of speculation by the Irish Mirror to fill column inches and repeated on ESPN, is definitely accurate news.
A tweet from Paul Tenorio (reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, a team included in the report) says: “My sources at Orlando City told me nothing to rumors regarding James McClean. (He’s a left-winger anyway…they need right side help.)”
A couple of comments to the tweet say “looks like an agent trying to spread rumors to get a better deal”.
Mate of mine said that they had a goal ruled out near the end as the ref said the ball hadn’t crossed the line, my mate said it did?I was right behind the goal.
Much as I would have loved it to have been given, he headed at an open goal onto the lower edge of the bar and it bounced out. I don’t think it went in. A tiny bit more skill and he would have got it down more and in.
No. Guiseley had two really good substitutions – one tactical just before half-time which really was game-changing.
Nothing to do with bad luck or Sods law. Chorley lost it.
I went (a few other Latics people there including our CEO and our number 1 statto, that I saw – saw a few Latics badges around).
Chorley dominated the first half, but seemed to come out in the second wanting to protect that lead rather than push on and put the game to bed. We all know what that means. Keeper went off injured, but a recognised keeper came on in his place, so that wasn’t a factor. Poor strategy from Flitcroft I’m afraid. Too cautious.
I nearly didn’t get in. Due to hold ups at Mere Oaks, and trying to find somewhere to park only got to the ground at 2:30, and as I approached the turnstiles they were saying it was full and no-one else could get in. We hung around a bit and after about 10 minutes they sent stewards up the street to stop others coming in, and let us in.
Only ever been locked out of one game before -couldn’t believe my second might have been Chorley! :woohoo:
Ashton Town floods in August ;)
Hopefully rearranged
It took us a while under Bobby to get the passing game right, and never quite did to PL standards.
However – in League One it could be different. But it still needs to be got right. As you say a bit too much sideways rather than incisively forward at present, but it’s a new idea for many of our players. The style is to play a passing game which includes a few killer passes cutting defences open. That will be worked on on the training ground.
Get the passing right first, and then learn to take the ball forward. Innovative at that level, and I think will be effective.
Blackpool fans certainly shoe their displeasure where our fans have just accepted and seem not even angry at our situation. Probably one of the worst seasons we have ever had.
What good has it done them? As it kept them up?, did it bring um 3 points? Did it make them feel better? Once they sober up I bet they will feel loads better  .
All the daft tvvats who ran onto the field will probably be identified and banned from Bloomfield Rd. Yeh fekin great way of showing your disprovable, lets all go and run on to the DW pitch tonight stark bollock naked chanting anti Whelan songs.
We are relegated, we ALL agree we’ve been crap this season, Ok lets all move on FFS….
One of the worst seasons we’ve had is it? Well I for one have personally endured far worse seasons than this, believe me. In order to enjoy and appreciate the good times, you must have already suffered some bad times IMO.[/quote]
I completely support the fans’ complaints, but this as John says will gain nothing, and has lost them the goodwill of Huddersfield fans who had vocally supported them, but then had their trip wasted, and had to stay in the ground because of trouble outside, and according to Huddersfield fans also then had coins thrown at them by Blackpool “fans” on the itch.
Coventry? Norwich?
Blackpool fans certainly shoe their displeasure where our fans have just accepted and seem not even angry at our situation. Probably one of the worst seasons we have ever had.World of difference between our situation and Blackpool’s. Or don’t you read the papers?
Coyle and Rosler weren’t interested in youth development either. Not sure about Malky.
