Even I struggled to understand him.

Ah. Just found what you are on about.

So he’s had a good game. Didn’t doubt he’s a good player. But Uwe has his system, and decided Dicko didn’t fit into that. He’s doing well, in one game, at Wolves, so good for him.

If you want to understand and appreciate what managers are now doing, and how tactics and systems work, I suggest you read “Inverting the Pyramid” by Jonathan Wilson, and you will maybe understand how things are in the real world.

One player having a good game (and hopefully for him other good games, except against us) does not give any reason why he should have stayed with us. He’s gone – or shall we have a “Bottom Four Nouah Dicko” thread?

How about posting opinions on games you go to, and not those you miss and are depending on other people’s opinions.

We did let it slip yesterday, but personally I wouldn’t dream of making a lengthy post about something I didn’t see.

Being able to salvage a point when you haven’t played well is something that teams who get promoted do. All teams play badly some time. We did it for 45 minutes.

Was going to say him myself. But where is he now???[/quote]

He signed for Southport in October 2013, but was released two months later.

Yes the England v Spain was preceded by Germany v Holland.

In the France game Cisse scored two (complete with somersaults after scoring), and Ahamada scored the other. I remember thinking at the time that Ahamada looked a future prospect, but a recurring injury put paid to any great success and he has moved around France and Portugal, and currently plays for USJA Carquefou in Division 6 (=Conference North).

                    The entire England youth set-up

Here are a few line-ups of England youth teams for games that I went to over the last dozen years.

You would think that if a lad gets into an England representative squad he is likely to make some sort of a name for himself, but it seems not to be the case.

Obviously there are a few recognisable names (including Wayne Rooney coming on as a sub), but there is no easy path to wealth and riches it seems.

For those old enough to remember – Peter Marinello was going to be the new George Best.

Another damp squib of a thread ! Not argumentative enough maybe?

                              You didn’t mention Roberto Martinez.

Without being rude, why would we have the time to set up and run a league more than anyone else?

You are very welcome to set one up yourself and advertise it here. That would be fine.

People go on about the Den being the worst place to visit, I have Millwall down as the safest place to go by coach. You get driven straight into a cage with all the Millwall animals banging on the mesh and shouting stuff.

Exactly what I tell people too. Big caged off area, and great police escort in and out.
