This isn’t about standing up when things get exciting. Everyone accepts that will happen.

JR and I andmany others are old enough to remember why all-seater stadiums were introduced. Whatever we may think about this and that, of “campaigns” and “memorials” and whatever, remember that 96 people one day went to watch a football match, just as you and I now happily do, and they never came home.

Football is a lot safer now. We don’t have to arrive at a ground hours before kick-off (maybe not at the DW but the principle is the same). We can take small kiddies and elderly relatives. We don’t have to worry when crowds surge forward. Or some idiot or drunk somewhere decides to act stupidly/inconsiderately/dangerously.

If that means we have to sit down then I for one accept that.

There are quite a few threads on here lately that have been ruined by people going on about other peoples spelling and grammar.

I’m afraid you don’t realise that to us pedants threads are ruined by bad spelling, punctuation and grammar.

…and there are actually eight errors in your post :D

Just put a link FFS!..Stop copy and pasting everything and turning it into a thread!

Sometimes links take much longer to load because of issues finding the site, Javascript applets, Flash adverts and so forth.

Cutting and pasting text makes it so much easier.

What should of course be banned are responses which keep including the original C&P

Maybe his signing time could be changed to 3:15 on 23 June (3:00 would give him time to watch some of it) ? ;)

martinez is the worst manager at the level pro rata that we have ever had.he is not as good as useless.the class of person that he thinks is right for a premier league team is unbelievable jones barrow gomez scotland amaya now britton.he will take us to the next level the championship here we come.people say he did a good job last season but the only time you came off feeling great was chelsea arsenal and liverpool.he couldn’t get the best of benson so he has got whelan to get rid of him mores the pity he should have got rid of martinez.

6 posts? Let’s hope your future ones are better.

I have no problem with people not supporting Martinez 100% – everyone is entitled to an opinion. But “worst manager at the level pro rata…”

Did he keep us in the Premier League? Yes.

Did we “come off feeling great ” after Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal? Yes – and we just dismiss that, do we? Something never done before by us.

I’m with No1fan on this (even with his neat edit by the time I wrote this ;) ).

Well I didn’t know it – so a genuine thanks from me Donnelly.

………and let’s not forget Fleetwood Town

(Seen a couple of games there, reminded me of the ol’ days). ;) [/quote]

But Fleetwood aren’t in the Football League? Morecambe are. :?

Blackpool are 500/1 to win the Premier League next season.

Which means if you go into a bookies now and bet £20 you will only lose £20.

One of the nicest things is that Cardiff “needed” to get into the Premiership to sort out their financial troubles.

Blackpool got there because they wanted to be there.

It actually ended 3-0 but they were hard to break down because of course they just put everyone in defence.

I take it that was the Graeme Jones affair ?

Graeme Jones and four of theirs sent off.

Holloway kept shouting at his players to get another one sent off so the game would have to be abandoned. In fact as player-manager he came on at the end. And Lynch refused to send anyone else off, no matter what they did.

                                  If Carlsberg made referees…..
