I think we’ve played really well at times under Cook and have playes sides off the field. Granted we’ve normally lost 1-0 though
Cook is probably more concerned with Liverpool not winning the league than what happens to us. We should use this break to sack him.
I still don’t think we’re a top half side like some seem to but I do think we are good enough to stay up and always have done.
We all agree that EVERYONE is entitled to have an opinion be it pro or anti the club that deep down we all love.What I for one can’t understand is the hatred, vitriol and constant abuse thrown at our club and manager, often before a ball has been kicked. Team announcements lead to fu@@kin this, f@@kin that, w@@ker this and wa@@@ that, we are all grown ups FFS. We ALL have been unhappy with the way things have panned out this season but there is a grown up way of showing it.
That’s what gets some posters backs up and leads to these abusive personal posts.
Sorry Egg don’t agree with you on this, it doesn’t matter who the abusive insults are aimed at, poster to poster, or poster to Paul Cook, they are equally has bad and aimed at an individual. The difference being PC can’t defend himself on here or if he could, he wouldn’t be able to for obvious reasons.
I suggest we all grow up a bit and if we are unhappy with team selection, manager, board etc then
by all means have a go, but let’s keep it grown up or the insults between posters will continue and deflect away from sensible discussions we should be having. People will have different views, let’s accept and deal with that properly.Dont think me or roy have said anything abusive, just enjoyed a win and a bit of vindication at not slagging off every single thing the club does. Strange how our academy makes its best ever run in the same season the setup is vastly improved financially by our crap non existent owners
I think you will find that our academy was in fine fettle long before this lot took over the club. Robby had the vision years ago and was backed by uncle Dave. Pre Mr Whelan we didn’t have Christopher Park and Later Euxton. This lot have had fuck all to do with our fabulous set up that is down to Mr Whelan. They have just carried on from where our previous owners left off. Granted they are trying to maintain a very high standard and indeed are doing a good job but like everything else stu you are defending everything the owners and manager do even if they are making an arse of it. This club is where it is today because one man cared enough to bother. You can bang on about how good IEC and Cooky are but most of us who have spent an entire lifetime supporting the mighty tics know the script.[/quote]

Within 6 months, we’re a cat B and have acquired a new training facility.
We move up a level and start to play against bigger and better clubs who we continue to beat. We then go on our best ever FA cup run.

If you really believe that it is because IEC who in your eyes are perfect then you really have no proper concept of the game. We have moved up massively because of what has gone on before. Do you really think this lot have waved a magic wand and suddenly we are brilliant at every level below the first team?.
