Firstly, where does Rogues say he is speaking on behalf of the World? He simply states his opinion that rugby league is the better value for money sport. Having watched both for a number of years I agree. Very few 0-0 draws in rugby league or indeed very few draws (when they occur they are usually quite exciting). I can list at least six Latics games this season at which I have been bored to tears and several more that have been on TV which I have turned off due to boredom. I very rarely do this with a game of RL but that doesn’t mean boring games don’t happen they just happen less often. Yes football is the more popular sport in the World you can’t deny that but does that necessarily make it better? Religion is a prime example. Christianity is the most popular religion in the World (apparently) but does that mean that being a Christian is better than being a Muslim, Hindu, Sheikh, Jew or non-believer like myself.
