Well his ‘strike’ didnt last long. He’s been named in the team for tonight.
With Marco Ruben and Rodallega in the middle to feed off Charles NZogbia’s crosses, I think were about to turn the corner.
A top 10 finish and an FA Cup, do for Bobs first season. ;)You forgot the place in the Europa League for the FA Cup winners :D
More than u johny boyJames, Let me give you a piece of advice. Dont try to take the pi$$ out of Arky & whether or NOT he attends matches (especially away games) without doing a little research.
You really are a bad WUM aren’t you.
My mate who supports celtic has said he is yellow water!Yellow water or not he was Celtics player of the year last season & as the pic on the link shows he was their captain.
I say give him a chance, just like we did with a certain Titus Bramble.
Have to admit i am unsure as to whether we need Zaki & his disruptive influence back. Especially after he went missing, possibly due to believing the hype about himself as well as constantly failing to reshow after International breaks.
However. having read the article on Kapo I cant help but think that ol’ spud head may have fcuked up a couple more ‘big’ players with his management. Doubt we will ever know really but should Kapo come back & perform like he did for Brum then maybe Bruce wasnt as good at man managent as he thought.
Sorry forgot to say the above is easier than using the ‘Copy’ button on Sky+
I have the whole game on Sky+. If I can work out how to transfer it to DVD, then I’ll sort you a copy out. PM me your email and I’ll let you know how I get on.The easiest way to copy it from Sky is to watch the game whilst recording it at the same time. Yeah I know BUGGER!! lol
This is of course provided you have your DVD recorder connected to your Sky+ box. It can be a fiddle getting it connected correctly & ensuring you’re on the right channel etc but once done is a doddle.
Oh & I would do the honours but i got rid of my DVD recorder as i wasnt using it after the novelty wore off.
After reading those comments about digging in and not trying to pass round them I had to chuckle to myself.
How ironic is it, that the few teams that beat chelsea do it by playing football and passing round them. OK these teams have top quality players who in the main are man for man better than ours, but the methodology is still the same.I personally would like to see us develop the passing game getting the odd hammering by the top four teams than being labelled just a gutsy little team out to kick and stop teams playing. We saw some woeful displays against the top 4 teams under Jewell and Bruce and guess what, apart from the draw at Liverpool and the cup win at home to Arsenal we still lost every game.
Bobby has a plan, yes for once one of our mangagers actually has a plan and is hell bent on making it work. OK it will take time to get it to the standards he wants but the Villa game was proof that it can work and more importantly work with these players.
So as fans of Wigan Athletic Football Club, lets not get this mentality that Bobby has already recognised in the players and wants to change, i.e. being beaten before the first whistle has been blown.
Good post.
Have you noticed that our other 2 managers are ex Liverpool (Youth i know) & Yoonited & we got tonked off them. every season. Yet get Bobby who hasnt played for one of the top 4 & we finally win against 1 of them. Is it just that Bobby isnt sycophantic but gives them as much respect?Yeah, cough up Mr Negative.
bobby is on holiday……..[/quote]
Bugger!! Not that the little shite has the balls to come on here after a win like that. He’ll be too busy frothing at the mouth & having a tantrum.
Either that or he’ll be on as someone else & saying he knew Martinez was a good un & what a great result. Thanks JayT.
Lets just hope he doesnt log in with a different user name.
Got to be worth a donation for your walk for life.
Come on guys dig deep. Make it enough & he may ban him for good.  :D19 August 2009 at 4:52 pm in reply to: This One’s For All Those That Booed And Started Moaning #5619I 100% agree with ALL that has been said so far as well as that our ‘support’ last night was disgraceful.
Has anyone noticed that no one has admitted, on here at least, to the booing of the team at half time. Amazing that. Along with the fact that 11,000 + (Other than those who have stated otherwise) were ALL part of the 1500 that turned out every home game in the good old days of Springfield Park.Oh & for the record it is now Wednesday & Moyes, Benitez & every other losing PREMIERSHIP manager from Saturday has not been sacked.
Keep the faith, yes Bobby is inexperienced in the prem but who cares lets enjoy the ride. -
