of course its the point mate ok then say the fans scratched my car and cause 400 qiud of damage is that the same then or smashed my home windows like i said where is the line drawn how can their club be responsible for what fans do outside the ground its you being contaversial
All jokes aside, I understand where Sud is coming from with the part I have put in ‘Bold’. It isn’t NUFC’s fault that some fans are Bell-Ends B)
Isn’t it the responsibility of the club to ensure their fans behave, hence why clubs are fined for failing to control them?
I hope no Latics players are in action this week. Let them rest up and be fighting fit for Norwich.
I believe in fate. 25 yrs Wimbledon, 40 yrs Blunderland….the 2 biggest upsets…BOTH managed by Bobby/Bob….1985 – Win the Freight Rover
14 years later – 1999 – Win the Auto Windscreens Shield
14 years later – 2013 – ?Personally I wouldn’t give anyone the satisfaction of naming them but I wouldn’t mind seeing one that said something about us being a small club with no history or future.
Some of those sound rather painful.
Apparently you can get the red shirt with free FA Cup badges for £40. Strange that considering it was only about £30 last week.
Thanks dad ;)No problem Son
I recommend to those sitting in the lower tier to sit as high up as possible.
I sat on row 20 I think it was and spent the whole match up and down like a yo-yo because the people on rows 1 to about 5 struggle to see the bottom end of the pitch (I imagine it will be worse with the goals in the way as well) and so constantly stand as soon as the ball goes over half way.
If I was going on my own I’d sit at the front of the top tier, but as I’m going in a group I’ve given my recommendation to them.
Turns out we’re ok. The journalist on there now has said the foul was by Callum McNamara.
What do these guys get paid for? His name hasn’t been out the paper all f*cking week!!!
Obviously the recinding of a red card doesn’t affect the match in which the card was shown but can affect the fortunes of the team that were hard done too as they don’t suffer a suspension.
Personally, I like the way it works in Rugby League. Each and every match is reviewed from start to finish and if the referee missed something then the powers that be are able to bring the player to task and charge him. There’s nowhere to hide. Rio would have been done for kicking Torres, Rooney would have been done for elbowing McCarthy and Muamba would have been done for trying to break McCarthy in two.
Officials make mistakes but if we have the technology there to see the incidents clearly then we should use it imo.
What I don’t like about the RL way of doing things is this putting an incident “on report” business. To me that’s a cop-out for referees and gives them an excuse not to make a decision for fear of it being wrong even though they may have seen it very clearly and warrant a sending-off. Introducing that into football would cause no end of controversy and chaos with players manipulating the ruling to their own advantage.
On report is something totally different. (I agree it’s a cop out and am not a fan of it)
On report is for incidents when a penalty is given but the officials are unsure whether it merited any further punishment or if any other players are involved.
The review panel can pick up ANYTHING in the game whether a penalty was given or not.
Erm because its a free country and tickets are available????
It is a free country, but the tickets should go to people that ‘support’ Wigan and don’t just want to turn up due to the fact it is a big game. Tickets should go to those who deserve them most.
Our £27 return coach and £40 tickets (On sunday) will prove to be quite a bargain too ;)
I completely agree James they should and they will. The point i’m making is there will be no doubt tickets unsold and the club seem to be happy with this rather than sell to ‘outsiders’.
So they sell to “outsiders” who cause trouble or who turn out to be Man Utd/Man City fans just wanting to get a ticket so they can go to the final and cause trouble there. What do the club do then?
If you aren’t on the database then as I’ve said you haven’t been to a game in about 15 years and imo and it appears that of the club you don’t deserve one to Wembley either.
reet but to much hassle for the FA imoWell, it depends doesn’t it really. If every match is already reviewed and recorded then they clearly have enough evidence to do something about it.
The World saw the Rooney and Rio incidents above so they have no excuse for not punishing them.
Yes certain things will still get missed and I accept that, but if something has been seen then it should be punished accordingly whether the official did so on the day or not.

Is that just super league only asking due to the fact that there are only 7 super league games covered in a weekend and one first div match I think maybe wrong but the point I’m making is that they would have a lot of matches to watch at the FA if that was the case including the championship and league 1 and 2 and maybe blue square prem as well
Super League, Championship and Championship 1. Think it’s around 20 games in total. Granted not a lot compared to football but every game in football still has an official who watches the game and the refs undergo a performance review after the game.
In RL, every match is recorded and the referee has to go through a performance review in the week having watched the game back to see things that were missed/judged correctly. Any unsavoury incidents are flagged to the judiciary.
With the top of the league done and dusted, the attention will be on the bottom.Latics v Villa
The £100 million game.
Things like this always happen at the end of every season, I for one hope it doesn’t come to that.
I’m hoping we’re well safe by then. Really don’t fancy the trip home from London with a hangover.
One of the tweets directed at McManaman read: “cant wait till you come to st james’ #GonnaDie #GetYourFuneralPlannedKidSt. James’ ? Thought it was ‘The Wonga Stadium’ these days!
I’d have loved Callum to reply “Exeter aren’t in the PL #RealStJamesPark
