The list of players that left and went on to better things is very slim since Whelan took over.
Shaw and Matty Smith in midfield will work well I think.
I would bring Watts in on Saturday though and go 5 at the back. We’ll be in for a tough day in defence.
Hoping he can get fit and play some games for us. I’m not a fan of Humphrys out wide so would prefer to see Jones fit. I expect he will off on loan to Scotland though.
Pearce hits more good crosses than he does bad ones.
I’m not sure what role will suit Sze best. He looks too lightweight currently to be a number 9 but I’m sure they can put some muscle on him. Plus we have Magennis, Wyke and Humphrys already so we may use him as a wide man or a number 10.

I think if someone said we would go to Bolton on -1 we’d have all been happy, but we should have won that game last night. Total dominance from us really for the most part. We’ll get soundly beaten on Saturday I fear, but there would be no better place to move into positive points.

Just worry about paying the rent on time Donny, Mike has a few contract extensions to sort out for next season.
It’s been increased of course rather than the pittance the rugby used to pay. No more money from beer sales or hospitality. Oh, and make sure the kit is cleared out within 30 minutes of the final whistle or we’ll be adding a PAYG rate on.
