Draw comparisons to any other business. It’s a business.
You’re right about communities, but the fans still have no given right to know everything.
The players and staff potentially effected next time have the right to know what is going on. Or as you said, the Asda workers have the right. The customers don’t.
I like it. As long as build a ground at RP and don’t move to Leigh or Bolton.
Fans want to be as close to their club as possible and I get that and especially when you were once a club as small as we were, but sadly in 2023 that just doesn’t happen.
Like it or not but football is a business. It’s no longer like Winstanley Warriors or Ashton Athletic, it’s a business.
As a business they have no obligation to tell us anything. Asda won’t phone me up when people are off sick or they’re out of stock of something. HR issues such as not paying wages doesn’t get discussed on Twitter.
People always say that without fans there’s no club but that isn’t true as COVID showed. TV deals nowadays will keep football going. Perhaps not at lower levels as much, but I suspect that ticket sales are not the highest earner for the majority of clubs.
Of course I want to know the goings on but I’m also fully aware that we will only get told what the club want to tell us and when they want to tell us. The players I expect will have been updated every step of the way.
The problem we have is every Tom Dick and Harry on social media making up stories (usually under fake names) and doing internet searches to put 2 and 2 together to make 12.
Good pick.
Sort it next week when I get paid
Never understand this clamour for information. They’ll update us when there’s something to update us on.
Just to add to the above, I liken your presence on here to WW69 on rlfans. Just a troll that posts rubbish and vanishes when things are going well for Wigan and not so well at Saints. I’m probably not alone in that.
Anyway…what charity would you like your £20 going to?
The problem with our two deductions is that they’re cut and dry and there’s no need for an investigation.
Almost like committing a crime and then walking straight into the police station, giving a statement and pleading guilty.
Not convinced that they’re skint.
IMO they have had enough after seeing losses of £7m last season and no doubt more this.
Or
They have smashed their budget for the season already (possible with the two sackings) and have to fill the kitty up somehow.
All fans of all clubs welcome on here mutty. The difference with yourself is you tend to post utter drivel.
You got access to each players pay slip?
No but there’s enough info out there and from people within the club. You obviously don’t know anybody bar the fcukin burger guy outside to make educated guess.
I don’t have to wait for a burger though when there’s a queue

Removed your replies Stu.
If you’re coming back then cut out winding people up.
You think you know. The reports and the reality were somewhat different.
As for selling to someone UK based. I don’t recall there being any UK based people interested last time apart from the guy at Port Vale.
