It was actually quite good in terms of him discussing how clubs like us are trying to deal with the crisis. They did have a section on Liverpool which of course Cookie was relishing.
The 30th June date seems like pie in the sky so unless they can change players contracts I can’t see how they can finish it.
Plenty are taking pay cuts similar to what us mere mortals are in order to help club staff be paid, but when players have bills three and four times the size of ours you can’t restrict them to 2.5k you have to average it out.
The EFL make millions from them so won’t happen. And as I always say about the Grand Final in rugby. Whilst it may not be right or fair, everyone knew the rules at kick off.
If they are definitely finishing this season then what happens to 20/21? Will that be cancelled or will it be a shortened version in which we play each other once and it’s the luck of the draw if you’re home or away? Will be interesting.
My big worry is that this break totally kills our momentum and we end up going down.

I don’t think there is any fair or right way to do it aside from making everything null and void and we start again next season as though this one never existed.
We benefit either way of course, but if you void all games at 0-0 say then even that isn’t right imo because as we showed at West Brom and Leeds, anything can happen.
Got told this after the PNE game but then the club announced a groin injury so didn’t think too much of it.
