100% spot on as ever David, may I commend you.
Whelan really gets on my tits with this shit.
That Wigan is a `Rugby Town`.
I hope get more there than last season when it was embarrassing some more people who call themselves fans have no excuse to travel twenty miles but some will find one lol our team deserve more than they are getting come on lads show some support. For once in your livesIts a rip off, as big Gordon said, over a hundred notes for me to take the two young uns.
No thanks,Liverpool football can stick it the robbin gets!
`arf`???…………Knob!
I wouldnt go and watch England play full stop.
Who won the Welsh RL championship and the Welsh RL Cup this year Eggy?
CouId it be that at Wigan he had a briIIiant owner who understands the game and who heIped him to be the Iegend he was here?.You on about Brenda?
I am in the ‘knobhead’ category then. Unfortunately for you it actually is a sport.Don’t worry though it could be worse. I could be a sad lonely bastard who talks big on various local websites because nobody listens face to face. Why? that would be because that person is socially inept and has to shout on forums to get anyone merely interested. Sad man/boy/child, Delete as applicable.
Nice one yoz,…but i think you are on the wrong thread mate.
We may be the cheapest, but we are still too dear. Biggest crowd of the season 2 years running against Fulham proves if you have cheaper tickets the punters will turn up.
Rightly or Wrongly the majority of `floating` fans will not pay £25-£30 a ticket to watch Wigan Athletic no matter who they are playing.Heard some rugby prick on talksport yesterday, after papping on about `how good the play offs where`and `the franchise system has worked???` he then went on to say promotion and relegation should be brought back and the play offs scrapped!!??
Dont know who it was but he was introduced as `talksports RL expert`. (Didnt know the had one tbh)
Nice one Sirdave, once again the voice of reason goodpost
Unfortunately 23 miles to the west we have the 5 times European champions, and 22 miles to the East we have the biggest football club in the world along with the richest football club in the world.
Wigan is a town full of plastic Mancs and Plastic scousers, so for Wigan Athletic to be in the biggest league in the world of the biggest sport in the world is worth celebrating dont you think?Football is built on history, would you tell a Liverpool or Man U fan to `dig up stuff from world war one`??
About 12000 people from Wigan/Chorley/Preston/Bolton apparently.that’s about the same as our core home support our away support is probably about 500 i should know
Yes, but Wigan is a rugby town and WRL are the biggest club in the world,
Wigan Athletic `core` home support is nearer 15,000 actually, and in the words of Maurice Lindsay `Latics are a lovely little club who unfortunately chose to play in the back yard of the biggest rugby league club in the world`……(horseshit I know).
Who gives a flying fook about RL
About 12000 people from Wigan/Chorley/Preston/Bolton apparently.
rugby league clubs in London and Cardiff have as much chance of success as a Polo club in Scholes!
It was a ridiculous idea that was doomed to failure from day one.
