Have to give Sam the MOM again because he made to crucial saves again to save the points and but for him may well have lost the game.
Still a win is a win and have to look at the positives

Loads of balls hoofed into the box but no intent to get on the end of any and when they did they made a pigs ear of it.
Stevenage were there for the taking and should have been 3 points yesterday.
Agree with sentiments above , time for the owner to show some ambition because without that it’s back to 6000 crowds and rapid decline.
And there is more nuggets in that youth team according to reports.
Read something today about a dynamic young striker by the name of Moseley who has been smashing the goals in.
it’s mid season and surely worth having these lads around the first team going forward.Pleased for Ryan , good management trying a youth team player and what a debut , two brilliant goals !
Maybe a new partnership to try out this saturday , feel that result was a significant turning point , league one is very tight this year.
Interesting few weeks ahead UTFT :)

Mansfield must be wondering how they dropped points today.
Shocking performance , players lagging back and nearly every second ball won by them and some notably lazy in some quarters.Thats one of the worst performances of the season in my view and we play like against Hemel then we might have very red faces next Saturday night.

in all but name it is a reserve team trophy on a par with A team games from the late 70s and early 1980s and thats why supporters have essentially ditched it.
I think they should fire it off , look how fresher our lads looked last saturday with a week without a game , it was brought in to give little clubs a chance to play at Wembley which they have now anyway with the play offs.
From a business perspective its a time consuming bore fest ,get rid
Agree , the FA cup is sacrosanct in my view. , play the best team available and do everything to get a crowd in and aim to progress to the third round.
The midweek Mickey Mouse cup or EFL
trophy or whatever is now even more a reserve team run out than it ever was especially since the premier league reserves joined in and my view is that they just scrap it or revert back to league clubs only with a straight knockout format.
I heard once that the alleged cost of putting a game in at the ground was as around 55k which is very steep and little wonder costs are being cut for these meaningless games. Some great posts above and nothing i disagree with.
In the ideal world he should be given the time to rectify the bad form and turn things around however we all know there is no ideal world with football.
Port Vale on saturday is now a massive massive game for him and his team in my opinion and they have to go out there all guns blazing, no more no less !

I thought Cardiff are the best team I have seen so far.
They looked a cut above in my opinion and sadly sometimes you have to accept being outclassed and I’m afraid that’s what happened.Yes the team could have done better but when the opposing team are simply too good it is probably the most deflating thing as a footballer.
We started brightly but each attack was comfortably cleared and they looked like they were coasting and could easily have added more goals but did t need to step up any gears.
You can go on about formations etc but quite simply they were better and I doubt they will play any better team this season
The reaction to defeat is more concerning , do players normally come in on Sunday mornings at 9am ?In last Sunday and I’m certain it was said post match yesterday they are in this Morning at 9am.
That’s punishment for a defeat which happens especially in league 1 and which was always going to happen with a very very good side , they were a better team no use beating up about it , just move on and use the full week to try and get something at Plymouth next Saturday.
