No fist pumping today after that woeful display , beyond bad , not one shot on target ffs!!!!
Have seen some bad performances over the years from Latics teams but very few as bad as that and it’s now only one point about the relegation places and some very tough games coming up.The bottom 4 beckons and league 2 is a real possibility , running towards it rather than sleepwalking.-

Looks like they are repairing it on Friday in time for Saturday.
well done the landlord Harry at the Brick for pushing this with the authorities, that pub could have faced the death knell with something like that and that place is a major communal meeting place for supporters of football and rugby alikeI think the upcoming Bolton game might have forced the issue with thousands of rival supporters converging on canal towpath , the shortest route to the ground.
Seen some rumours circulating regarding Tickle this month , Sheffield United seem to be the main club that keeps cropping up.
A great draw and a decent payday for the club , hopefully the additional funds will be used to do that most important of aspects when running a club to strengthen the playing squad.
A big day out for our yonger players and some incentive to have a real go prior to this fixture which looks like it will be the highlight of what has been a fairly forgettable season so far.
Big northern team at home would be good one as always.
Let’s hope he keeps that playing style going forward because it was far more easy on the eye and they played well across the pitch.
Maybe needs to relax the players a bit more at home , play with abandon and attack teams.
Spoke to a Bolton season ticket holder yesterday who said they have been poor in recent weeks so I’d say treat next week as a cup final like yesterday because a win against them would be a big boost to this squad of players and might well herald a turning point.14230
I stopped renewing the ST a couple of seasons back due to personal reasons and being unable to attend many of the tuesday night games.
I have attended this season pay as you go and have only missed a few home games and have also been away from home also. The experience on the matchday starts on the pitch and prior to the Bolton game in September was pleasantly surprised with the play on the pitch.
Since then its been drab and souless football and dont get me started on the prices of drink and food , beyond disgraceful.
Dave Whelan was a tough businessman for sure but understood the town and its finances , this present lot think Wigan is a suberb OF London , £7 for a pint of Guinness FFS ???????????????
Will continue to attend but still loads to do by the management in my opinion

Any manager that avoided a game due to it being an ex club in my opinion deserves the push , this is HIS team and he is employed to motivate and get the best out of them all.
On paper this is a better squad of players than his predessessor had and he must have been told the clubs position when he took the job last year and what would be available to him.
Recent games i have witnessed suggest to me a few players are not trying their best and are just going through the motions.
Relegation is a real possibility this year in my opinion , even more than the years after admin and that would be an absolute disaster for the club and would result in a lot more money lost each year.
I didn’t see yesterdays game but have sympathy with the now dwindling away support.
Won’t end well if this carries on in the present shape , league 2 beckons , sleep walking towards it maybe but a possibility this year if present form continues.Bolton at home on the 17th looks ominous, nobody looking forward to that one I bet.Huge inconvenience and a massive detour for anyone walking ( the majority of home support).TfromSurely the club should offer free car parking for the duration of the closure ?

Bettoni looks a real find , skilled and loads of attacking play in his locker.
His contract has to be sorted , bound to be some clubs like Dull City sniffing about.10457
The game yesterday was a tough watch , listless and flat with very few players busting a gut.Aimson , Raphael and Smith aside I feel we lacked any spark and the general feel with the people and friends I spoke to after the game was around the mood in the camp , one thing as a supporter of this fine football club that I and others demand is effort and a never say die spirit. That feeling goes right back to my very first game in 1979 when Tommy Gore , Peter Houghton and Company found a performance from the bottom of the abyss of a 3-0 drubbing from Port Vale to smash in 5 goals in 19 minutes and send a miserable Good Friday home crowd into a frenzy.
Not for one minute did I ever think this lot would do anything like that yesterday. I found myself like I am sure many others did watching the manager retreat from the touch line and sit on the bench.
Not sure where all this is going to end but for me the best football managers lead from the front and make changes from the bench at the right times like the ever positive Ian McNeill did nearly 50 years ago.-

I think the kick off would have been moved regardless of the tv on police advice. Millwall play Burnley at turf moor on the Saturday and would most likely have used the same train network.
As soon as I saw the draw I knew it would be moved from the Saturday especially with the numbers Wigan would have brought to the game. Still think there will be a very healthy Latics following , most will travel by train given its only 10 -15 minutes journey and a half hour walk to ground. -
