Hopefully the relegation issue will be settled very soon and although a shaky win yesterday i feel it was a very large step towards safety.
Agree with CW , debt free with a few player assets and also a very good youth policy together with an ambitious ex player as head coach who has started so well with very little is surely a positive.
With some sensible investment and a dip into the youth reserves in the summer could start pushing up League 1 and beyond and get the much needed extra supporters back again.

Good defensive display and brilliant from Tickle (who was man of the match imo) last night against a team that had a little bit more quality on the ball and bat for that defence could easily have gone down to a defeat.
Our forward play wasn’t the best last night and the Orient back line easily dealt with those long hoofed balls up to Taylor in a fairly poor 2nd half display.
Gary Caldwell has upped the intensity yes but this leads to misplaced passes and lots of yellow and potentially red cards.
Monday is a must win game but away form is dreadful , can only hope.

Taylor’s impact reminds me of David Shearer from early 1980s.
9 goals in 11 whilst on loan from Middlesborough.
Rumours that Preston and Oxford are plotting to sign him this summer.

Keep playing like that on Saturday and there is no need to worry about relegation.
Loving the more direct style of play under Caldwell and its working wonders at the moment with the players he has inherited.
Hard to believe its the same bunch that were trounced at Peterborough just a few weeks back.
Should have had that game buried by half time simple as that.
Ref added enough time there to possibly lose all 3 points never mind gain 1.The stupid sending off and the ridiculous 11 minutes added mean it’s a point saved.
woukd have taken 4 points from Bradford and Barnsley all day long.
Saw enough last night to say Latics will stay up.
They never built up a young fan base like Latics have successfully done
Not sure how much Latics lose a season now , but I bet it’s not 5 or 6 million .

The game died years and years ago when RU went professional and overnight restricted the supply of top players flowing into RL previously.
The top players went the other way and the rest is history.
Rule changes and summer rugby are also factors and also leisure pursuits have changed massively since their 1980s and 90s zenith when wet winter sundays in Wigan and pubs closing at 2 meant many trudged to the Rugby to watch Gregory, Edwards and Hanley ( their like would no doubt be in RU today) and the ‘Rugby town ‘ term was pushed in the media by super salesman Maurice Lindsay.
Almost 17,000 on saturday for a team at the butt end of the 3rd division , free tickets or not the argument about the dominant code was killed for good on saturday afternoon !
Huge potential at Latics if someone comes in with ambition and the realisation that our beloved Little Latics have aquired some celebrity status with its colourful history over the past 25 years.
