Why would they recall him for 3 games only for him to be put back as No.2 for the rest of the season?
That would really hack him off.
They have also got their other No 2. Bogdan.Surely that would peeve him off when he had a good game today. How many goals are we comparing to…we didn’t score that many so the percentage would be higher versus Chelsea etc… BUT I can’t honestly remember any last season.
I think the only player who would is Kirky and the chances of him scoring are about as high as Scotlands. If man didn’t dream or have ambition we would still be in mud huts but then again that would suit some of you.
How tall was that interviewer?
I have just have my third child in Feb and we were the same. We were saying Emmerson (which I did like, I now a little boy called it), Hugo (I also know a little boy called it and he suits it loads), BRUCE (this was to wind up my 14 an 10 year olds though). In the end we called him Owen Patrick not after anyone football wise, but my dad,who is called Patrick.
But you do have some great choices. Paul, Emmerson, Thomas, Robert, Martin, Christopher, Hugo (I do like this name and it is very cool to be honest, it is of Scottish origin), Charles or Charlie (N’Zogbia), Jason. If you really wanted to go the whole hog…. David (Whelan!).Congratulations btw. I hope he’s not a crumper like my little one 9lb 11oz!!! and I am only 5 ft.
I agree with only signing them when they are older. I have seen many i.e. more than 5 kids picked up but then dropped when older by Liverpool, Blackburn & Man U. There is only one who is professional now and he has signed with Acc Stanley. It really is setting 99% of them up with a fall.
When my lad said he wanted to be a footballer at aged 7 I said no way his second option was to be a surgeon. So he said yeah I’ll be Wigan’s surgeon when they have done their ligaments in :D . He has had this dream for over 3 years now because I told him there is more chance of him becoming a surgeon than the kids in academies becoming professional footballers.
There are kids at his school who are in top club academies, play for Wigan town, their local team and also the school. It is far too much for a 10 year old’s body to cope with, they must play 4-5 games per week plus training. I think their parents need advice on the safety aspect of playing so many games so young(one of them is a coach too so should know better).
I do think there should be an age limit.Jay that’s ‘cos the chubsters can’t run…..lol. (Only kidding rugby fans).

Ah Erica Row. I thought about doing iot myself at blackpool but it was too bloody cold to get me baps out.
I though the same in sports line when paying for a bag faced a wall of Chelsea and Utd. I just shook my head.
Oh I thought he was an advert for supernoodles…lol
FOR CHRIST SAKE, THE MONEY THESE GUYS ARE ON THEY SHOULD BE GIVING 100% EVERY GAME NO MATTER WHAT. I WOULD GET THE SACK IF I PREFORMED AT WORK LIKE THAT.
But if all your customers (internal or external) booed you everytime you made a mistake you soon be a nervous bloody wreck. Whether you are on £1 an hour or £1,000 an hour, we are all human at the end of the day.
Yes, but would you expect an apprentice to carry out the work of a fully qualified member of staff? I always try to explain this, but somehow people dont understand. It is the job of the players to get the crowd going. It is the job of the players to excite the crowd. It isnt the job of those paying for tickets to excite the players. The stadium nicknamed ‘the theatre of silence’, who plays there and how successful are they?
You got it in one there Bobby Wigan just have a crowd onmatch days not FANS dic definition…Fanatical about something or someone. If you want to be entertained go the theatre. I seem to remeber Paul Jewel saying he needed the 12th man. That means cheering them on to play well all the time not just when they show displays of play you approve of.
