The only thing I would say about using Gomez as an example, is that Spurs more than us, can afford to make the odd poor signing, whereas we perhaps need to be more certain of how we spend our money.I agree though, he does look a good shot stopper, but I dont think I would be signing him yet with a view to first team football…..maybe the answer would be to send him on loan for half a season to Championship club and see how he performs.

You lot are so critical. He can be a good keeper. Only played a few games and obviously WANTS to do a job for us at least, more than you can say for some of the players we have here! He wants to play for us and could do well after adapting to the prem.Just hope the Idiots that like to boo like little kids don’t get on his back if he comes back to the club and gets a game… Would be childish and would NOT help him improve.
