“Well, I can think of one thing,” the man offered. “Once, on a trip to the Brecon Beacons in South Wales , I came upon a gang of bikers, who were threatening a young woman. I directed them to leave her alone, but they wouldn’t listen. So, I approached the largest and most heavily-tattooed biker and smacked him in his face, kicked his bike over, ripped out his nose ring and threw it on the ground, yelling “Now, back off or I’ll kick the sh1t out of all of you!”
St. Peter was impressed, “When did this happen?”
“Just a couple minutes ago”.
Heard that Wembley is a sell out today, couple of mates gone for the weekend.Wembley holds in the region of 93,000, there were 85,000 tickets slod with 74,500 actually through the gates.
So if 74,500 out of 93,00 is a full house, thenm yes well done.
I am actually amazed that 74,500 turned up, but I guess a lot were free tickets to the ‘Wembley Club’ as well.
Just wondering if its time we started looking nearer to home. Has anybody noticed that all the petulance and disloyalty seems to be mainly a foreign trait. N,Zog is the latest in a long line of mercenararies not just at our club and it also seems to me that the Kermits are the main offenders.Obviously you will get the odd British player doing the same but its definately a foreign thing. If we have to go with the overseas players Dutch and Scandinavians appear to carry more sense of attachment to clubs and generally hang round a lot longer. Im sure we would all love a few players who would go on to become Latics legends i just dont see it happening with todays egotistic shower.I know cost comes in to it but im really fed up of seeing the antics of the likes of N,Zog, Anelka Chimbonda etc wouldnt it be a refreshing change if we could tell these gobshoites to F..K OFF :evil:Bramble

Are just three very recent ones that spring to mind when the words loyalty and British are mentioned, I see what your saying! :roll:Such a big club that can find th emoney to buy him, but not for his wages. Are you telling me that they didn’t know his wage demands before he went???
All this has done is mess with his head for a few weeks and had his agent seeing pound signs and giving his player the speel (none of them have the best interest of the players, just their own bank accounts), the transfer window should end the week BEFORE the season starts, not 3 weeks into it.
Still there are teams putting themselves at very serious risk to get their slice of it. What gets me is, once they are there and receiving the dough, the club don’t really benefit from it as the greed of the players and agents make sure that all the money goes in their arsse pockets and NOT back into the Football Club or football in general. There needs to be a big wake up call me thinks.
