Up For the Cup, Downed by Di Canio
The FA Cup third round is a momentous date in the footballing calendar, an occasion where literally anything can happen and the generic cup cliché book is dusted down and brought out for another year. Appropriately, Wigan fell in the clash between David and Goliath in a banana skin tie which was a game of two halves (both of which Swindon were the better side).
Football Hooliganism at all time low????
New figures just released show that arrests are nearly ten per cent down and less banning orders have been given. Wigan Athletic fans have been amongst the best behaved and overall bad behaviour is down, maybe the police would like to start treating some fans like human beings now rather than cattle.
The Rise of the Underdog
An article titled like this one would usually be incredibly good news for Wigan Athletic, with the exceptions of the FA Cup third round and the world famous competition of the world’s smallest fan base of course.

No, I didn’t think so!!!!! Do we get an apology from Phil Dowd?? I won’t hold my breath!!!! Wigan Athletic at least got justice of the FA (like they could do anything else), but will we get a chance to see what the real outcome of the game would have been….no.

There’s a First For Everything
This weekend proved that there is a first for everything. For once, Wigan Athletic were actually the benefactors of the weekend’s action down at the bottom of the Premier League.
