$160Bn????????? please do me a friggin favour pal……….that equates to around £110bn (roughly exchanged) (please no need for a smart arse d**k to give the exact figure)…that would make him THE richest man (alone) in the world by a country mile…..seeing as bill gates “only” has circa £40Bn…….!
Mittal has no control over qpr what so ever……briatore & eccleston both fired off when fernandes took over the club…..he provides the finances and call’s the shots….mittal may have a small share in the club AT MOST, but ultimately have no final say in the club anymore, as he’s no longer majority shareholder
when’s the last time you saw mittal on tv, in a newspaper or at a game for that matter??????????????????????????????????

I WOULD……..there needs to be a restriction on these teams that can’t play football, but spend money beyond their clubs means just because they’ll get a bigger deal of sky next season……it’s pathetic and one of the reasons why i hope this league implodes……..

I am so sorry I stand corrected Lakshmi Mittal is not worth the amount I stated on his own, that figure should have been the estimated wealth of his family.
Although he has 34% shareholding in QPR, his son in law Amit Bhatia is the vice chairman, the mittal family are also major share holders along with Tony Fernandes(QPR chairman) in the Tune group which owns the Lotus F1 team, Air asia and a host of other companies in the hotel and leisure industrry, they are the main financial backers of Fernandes and I think you may find the do have plenty of sway on the money spent by QPR.

I dont remember many WAFC fans, including you, objecting when David Whelan was “spending money beyond their clubs means” when buying our way out of the 3rd and 4th division or keeping us in the premier league by spending more than a club of our size or stature should be capable of.

Watch sky sports news at the moment and transfer news, valencia and malaga have both sold players for less than they paid because EVERY TEAM except barca and madrid is in dire financial straights.
The premier league is nowhere near the “best” league in the world…..stop being f***ing corrupted by a biased, money obsessed organization called sky. the prem is a sky money greed league, bundesliga is better run and has better quality for me…….la liga may have financial difficulties, but if you think the prem is all rosie then your deluded!
All these rich owners are getting fed up with the huge tax band this country lays down on them….players too…..it will soon be full of 30 somethings coming here for one last pay day. Other leagues in europe will catch up (germany and spain excluded as they’re already in front of us)

You are the delusional one, I never said everything with the premier league is all rosie, i countered what you said about the bundesliga and la liga being stronger.

This imperfect league we play in teams like blackpool, hull, reading, burnley, ourselves, swansea ,norwich, stoke, bolton, blackburn have all managed to be competetive, some even thrive and spend 8 seasons there, this is ONLY because sky money permits this.
One over riding reason why your opinions are so, so wrong, if La Liga and the Bundesliga are so much better than our premier league why does EVERY nation on earth buy and pay so much for the ‘premier league’ product when they can have the ones you claim are so much better for a fraction of the cost.

Thats a liitle like pundits claiming burnley have fantastic support for a town of c.70k while forgetting to mention they have a catchment area of colne, nelson, barrowford, brierfield, rawtenstall, hasslington, much of pendle and clitheroe and quite a large part of the rossendale valley.
The nearest club to hoffenheim is over 50 miles away in Stuttgart, Sinsheim like Burnley has many small towns within a reasonable travelling distance to draw support from.
I will fully accept Sinsheim as an example, but I quoted 10 teams who have competed,survived or thrived in the premier league, you name me 10 who have done the same in the Bundesliga.
