Against Derby (worse Derby I’ve seen I years) they were there for the taking we were easily the best side and should we should have been in front if Lowe had of had his shooting boots on then I agree, no need for Gelhardt.With a tired Moore and an even more tired Derby defence I’m sure Gelhardt would have caused no end of problems, it was perfect to give him a run out like for like but Garner, give me strength.

Cook opted to play safe and it backfired grand style. The look of resignation on his face clearly showed he knew he had fcuked up big time.
Derby were poor, we were playing well, Cook bottled it, we lost, Gelhardt unused when we desperately needed someone to finish one of our golden chances. Cook needs to understand risk and reward not play safe when your clearly on top and the games there for the taking.

That’s a brilliant comparison because Foden’s situation trying to gain a foothold in an astonishing Man City team is more or less identical to Gelhardt’ struggle to get in to the Wigan Athletic team whose swaggering domination over the Championship clubs is something to see….especially so, away from home.

We have had twice as many posts since the Derby defeat than we got after the Forest win. Read into that what you will.
