2 November 2019 at 8:15 pm #181748Well he made positive subs today to try to win and we still concede late. That is so frustrating, we played well today, should we have had a couple of pens?
Positive substitutions???? How can bringing Jacobs on ever be thought of as being positive?
The midfield trio were bossing it and creating openings, the very impressive Williams was moved back when MacLeod went off and Jacobs yet again did FA.
Pointless, match losing substitution yet again.
Massey was his usual useless self.
I’ve been saying all season that Massey and Jacobs are not good enough, when is Cook going to realise this and get these useless players out of the first team squad?
2 November 2019 at 8:16 pm #181749Played really well today, gutted with the last minute goal, Lowe was playing well, don’t know why he took him off, jacobs not offering anything at the moment, Moore frustrate again today, should have scored one on one, I would give him a rest next week and start young joffy, worked hard when he came on, offers something different and not afraid to have a pop. Not seen anything in this league to be frightened of they are top and we played them off the park for most of the game, fine margins in this league, we need to find our scoring boots and we’ll be fine.
2 November 2019 at 8:42 pm #181750Think we played ok today but not really well. If Moore had done something with those chances it would have helped and if Lowe had not gone for glory and passed to Moore it could have been another story. We seem really restricted with the attacking midfielders though. Lowe although not a world Beater is ok. Williams was playing well in there but then Cook took McCleod off and moved Williams back. Very puzzling when he was playing so well. The re-shape then pushed Massey behind Moore and Cracker on the left which severely restricted the attacking midfield. Why does Cook do this especially today as Swansea seemed determined to go one boring pass too far every time they got the ball.
Was McLeod injured?
A point would have been fair but we bloody well need to start creating and scoring goals from open play.
Two shots on target for either side. What’s that all about?2 November 2019 at 9:04 pm #181751Really didn’t deserve that but yet again dominated 2nd half and 0 pts..Should have 9 from last 3 but a return of 1. Moore,Lowe really need to start converting, only Boro scored less and we again inching nearer the drop zone.Yes it is fine margins and I’ve stated before that theres not a lot between any team but for me Massey, Jacob’s not good enough full stop and as for now wanting to start Geldhardt…..why not??….we not blessed with creativity, but some still don’t want to lob him in deep end. Didn’t 1 of our few open play goals come from him ?? Beggars cant be chooses!!….But hey!, remember our home points will save us……

2 November 2019 at 9:23 pm #181753Gelhardt has got to start. He has showed more in the odd cameo roles he as played than both Jacobs and Massey have done all season.
I can’t believe the Manager rates Massey and Jacobs ahead of Gelhardt, Pilkington, Garner and Windass.
2 November 2019 at 9:33 pm #181754I don’t understand our formation to be fair.
Everyone slags off 442, but we play with a target man as a 442 team may do. but we never have another player within 20 yards of the target man.
If we are going to use Moore as a target man, FFS get someone up there to take advantage of that as the lad wins nearly every ball, but there is never any one to flick or lay it off to.
What position or role is Massey supposed to be playing, as it is definitely not a supporting role for Moore?
I really feel sorry for Moore, he works his bollox off, wins everything but has no support at all.2 November 2019 at 9:52 pm #181756I don’t understand our formation to be fair.

I hear you. And bring windass back into the team as well.
My front 4 would be a combination of:
Moore
Gelhardt
Windass
PilkingtonThe latter 3 swapping positions every now & again.

Totally agree, and Garner could come on to replace Moore in the latter stages of games where he has had seven shades kicked out of him.
I would even look to bring Evans or Naismith on before Jacobs and Massey the way those two are performing this season.2 November 2019 at 10:50 pm #181760I don’t understand our formation to be fair.

2 November 2019 at 10:53 pm #181761Their goal all started with Jacobs giving the ball away cheaply, around the half way line. Nuff said !

Or Windyarse or Garner. Moore and Garner would tear this league apart with Pilky and Moore out wide and Williams in the middle with Morsy but not a chance it’s our thing now one striker with five midfielders.2 November 2019 at 11:22 pm #181765Their goal all started with Jacobs giving the ball away cheaply, around the half way line.
