7 April 2015 at 10:03 pm #140944as manager ?
7 April 2015 at 10:09 pm #140945With wheelbarrow still here,We be playing in league 2 in no time. :P
7 April 2015 at 10:16 pm #140946The cheap option and just goes to show the club’s ambitions
7 April 2015 at 10:18 pm #140947Are we the new joke club or what.shambles .
7 April 2015 at 10:24 pm #140951Couldn’t be more underwhelmed. Ffs. He can hardly run a session at the clubs academy u8s never mind run the first team. What’s the rush? It’s like some fella who splits up from his wife and cant be on his own so ends up banging the the rough bird who lives on the same street the same night through desparation. Can we not just go through a selection procedure?
Exactly what qualities does this fella bring? No experience. A hard working defender who at the end of his career ruined last season with a penalty missed in a cup semi and a reckless challenge in the play offs followed by a season coaching kids. Aye. A perfect ‘cheapo’ choice with Barrow at his side. Joke!
7 April 2015 at 10:28 pm #140953Jokes on everyone , April Fools day is 1st April you FOOLS not 7th April.
7 April 2015 at 10:31 pm #140954Agree CHEAP option yet again :( and the worst of it is he has no experience  but why? we still have the £10 million parachute payment next season, so whilst we have this buffer surely we should be going for a manager with a bit of experience.
I know a lot of people who were 50-50 whether or not to renew their season ticket next season I think this appointment will just about sway it. The club hasn’t just lost the support of long time fans but the young fans too Who they were so enthusiastic in recruiting has now been a waste of time. My grandson who is 7 and his friends now don’t want to go anymore :(
Is the pre match Junior Latics club still going?
I was pi$$ed off yesterday this announcement has put the Tin Hat on it.7 April 2015 at 10:34 pm #140956Ive no problems at all with the appointment of Gary Caldwell, he has all the attributes to be a successful manager. The problem I have is with his assistants, just like Martinez did, he needs an old shrewd head sat at the side of him. Someone who has coached at the top and can jump in when called upon to provide plan B’s and C’s.
I would actually like to see a Warnock or a Wilkins, I have great respect for Graham Barrow, but for me its time for him to call it a day. From Matlock to ManU

I was pi$$ed off yesterday this announcement has put the Tin Hat on it.…and the reason why is that they have to listen to the likes of you moaning at anything and everything to do with the latics. A bit of positivity now and again won’t go amiss, even when you do feel like blowing the DW up. B) :cheer:

What a journey!7 April 2015 at 10:45 pm #140960Well I’m going to go against the tide and say, good choice. I’ve always thought he speaks sense even though I can’t understand him.
I just hope he has sense to give Waghorn or Billy McKay a start at Fulham or the young Liverpool lad Sinclair, nout to lose so throw em in !.
7 April 2015 at 11:11 pm #140963The only option methinks which manager wants relegation on there cv we have 5 tough games and if we do get 9/10 points I’d say hes done a good job
