As it stands, terms of sale have been agreed with admins.
Council are happy and ready to sign over the stadium.

Just a thought … Jason, I’m not sure if you’re “In the Know” (or it might be Ian) and have posted the stuff in the CEO meeting thread in your SLO role (which is great), but don’t you think you should communicate the info elsewhere too?
I know you say you don’t like the format (& the ads) on Vital, but it surely can’t be too painful to post (in your SLO role) the same stuff over there too.
OK, I suppose you could argue that it’s no hardship for folk to wander across here to get sight of it, but that’s not really the point.
If it makes it any easier, I can always ask for a sticky thread to be put up ….. it would just be a simple copy & paste then.

Apologies, had a busy couple of days, I see Ian has got back on the social media side of things which will hopefully appease the vital guys.
I think the reason for the lack of representation from vital is because no-one from there (editor?) has liaised prior, during or recently, with myself, Ian or or anyone at the Supporters Club or Club. Barry always did when he was in charge and we had and still have a good relationship.

It would be a good idea to have a place like this over there, where questions could be asked as they do seem a bit reluctant to come on here for some reason.
You may get inundated though as there is quite a bit of traffic over there compared to here.
I personally flick between both, but have to admit, apart from the adverts over there I do prefer the format.
I post less on here since it changed, and fear that when I try to ressurrect the Guess the Gate comp it will too hard and might die away which would be sad.Format? what is the difference?
This site has gone through a few reformation since it was first built in 1998.
We went to rivals which in hindsight was a bad mistake as it is what drove a wedge between the writers.
After being passed about a couple of times the plug was pulled and we had to make decision as to whether to rebuild again on our own or die. I chose not to let the oldest Wigan Athletic fanzine die.
Other sites have gone by the wayside and without the backing of a media company died. Vital is another that is struggling as a concept like rivals did. The Wigan version doesn’t have editorial anymore which is the lifeblood of the concept.
I would love for more to use this board and if it’s an aesthetic reason, feedback would be useful as we have control over that now we host and design our own site.FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
I am glad you kept it going and it was always the first Latics site I went to when I logged on, but at the moment I can go ages without a visit.
I know a lot of work went in to changing it a few years back, but for me its never been as user friendly since. I suppose I just liked the simpler format of the old design.
I used to like visiting the stats page to see who had the most thank yous, profile views, most posts etc but that disappeared.
I don’t like how over half of the page is an advert apart from the CL title bar, I can’t even see the post above that I am replying to without scrolling up to it.
I’ll keep trying though, as I feel this is the true Latics fans website, but I just wish it was still the old format before it changed the last time.

I think Ian’s sorted summat out with Arthur Itis, who’s recently taken up an Admin role (supporting Jonathon Fear, the site owner). I think Arthur’s going to put up a “sticky” thread.
However, my point wasn’t specifically to do with representation. It was more to do with where information such as the output from the meeting is published. There was nothing on your SLO FB site, nor on your page on the Supporters Club site.
I know there are loads of Latics FB sites, (eg BoBD, WTID, etc, and I wasn’t aware of Ian’s news site), so maybe there’s too many places to do a copy & paste across them all. So long as it’s put somewhere that everyone knows about, then that’s great.

Is it better now?
I didn’t realise the ads were taking up so much room as it wasn’t happening on my pc. Saw it it on my dads. Only seems to happen on pc not on mobile.
