We will know soon enough whether he was right or not or whether we are good enough to go up or not!

After that performance – definitely not.

    Really bad today.

Talking to my mate on the concourse we were really pleased with the team selection. Few of us would disagree that the selection was top…the players just didn’t perform today.

Uwe said in the programme that Blackpool would chase every ball; he wasn’t wrong.

They’re our bogey team. Last time we played them at ours we thought it was a given…erm 0-4 and my old mum got taken into hozzy in the morning as well

Don’t panic though chaps…we’ll be reet on Tuesday

May I add it is also something that Brentford fans accused Rosler of as well, they blame his mass rotation strategy and strange tactical decisions for their failure to get promoted last season.

So the Brentford fans blame Rosler’s mass rotation strategy and strange tactical decisions for taking them to within a minute of automatic promotion last season.

And this season, you blame Rosler’s mass rotation strategy and strange tactical decisions for taking us from the bottom half of the table to within reach of the play offs.

Don’t you think that you would be happier standing with the Brentford fans?

I blame mass debating strategies for our failures.

    That’s speaking personally though :P

No I am happy where I am actually, unlike you and your constant Everton support on here.

The architects of the display on Friday, Macca, Waghorn, Maloney & Espinoza haven’t played the equivalent of a normal seasons compliment of games between all of them, Gomez has been sat on his backside for a great deal of it as well, so resting players because of the ‘games played’ excuse is a lame argument.

You should be happy – Rosler granted you your wish today.

He brought back Macca, Waghorn, Maloney & Espinoza.

Yes he did and they looked like strangers playing together, my “wish” was continuity and posted they should have played in both games to build on the Reading performance, but needless rotation caused us the same problems as befell Brentford last season.

    It depends whether you’re a glass half-empty or a glass half-full man.

You could just as well say that Rosler’s rotation took Brentford to the play offs last season and – in rather less than a season – has brought them within our grasp this year.

Even with all the chopping and changing, I do think we looked tired yesterday. I would put the lack of sharpness and speed of passing, and resultant absence of incisiveness in attack down to that. Also pools midfield played very well in closing down and found us out. Perkins(little blond) and the other tall black guy were good.

In fact we havent played that well for a few games now, only Reading and the FA cup games have showed what we can and ought to be doing.

Think/hope it will go to the wire at Blackburn, but not convinced about how we will do if we actually get to the play offs.

When Rosler was appointed I think it was thisnorthernsoul that published an interview with the editor of the Brentford fan beesotted.
The overall vibe of the article was very positive about Rosler & praised all be achieved but it did also state that not everyone was happy with him & he’d had a public run in with some of them after a game. On top of that, and probably more relevant to this debate, the writer of the article (a confessed Rosler fan) that his strict rotation policy had meant they didn’t get as many points as they should probably have done. He also told the story that at the start of this season the players also told him they didn’t like it & he changed it

Yeah but apart from Boyce and Barnett most of the squad have been left out at some point or had spells out with injury.

Tiredness is not an excuse that can be used.

The media never check their facts properly.

        #130392

It has been a long, hard season.

Boyce has started 49 matches for Wigan so far – he’s entitled to feel tired. McArthur has started 47, Barnett 50 and Perch 45.

How many more will there be?

        #130393

I know that as a club they haven’t played as many games, but at Leicester City Kasper Schmeichel has played 50 games, Danny Drinkwater 48, Wes Morgan 47, Lloyd Dyer 45, Anthony Knockeart 47 & David Nugent 49. Nugent has also managed to bang in 21 goals & he hasn’t looked or whinged about being tired.

According to the stats on that never wrong website wikipedia, Leicester’s squad have started an average of 26.1 games. Latics current squad have started an average of 21.3 games

Latics have played 57 games (not including the Charity Shield). Leicester have played 51.

To be fair, I can only recall Rosler saying on one occasion that tiredness has affected a performance & at the weekend said it wasn’t a factor but was down to players not performing as they should have done
