28 April 2014 at 4:36 pm #130395To be fair, I can only recall Rosler saying on one occasion that tiredness has affected a performance & at the weekend said it wasn’t a factor but was down to players not performing as they should have done
We know they didn’t perform as they should have done. But what was the reason?
Was it the players’ fault? Was it Rosler’s fault? Was it something they had no control over?
Whatever it was, can they put it right for tomorrow?
28 April 2014 at 5:26 pm #130399“When I came in at the beginning of December we weren’t in a position to be anywhere near thinking about the play-offs but now with two games to go it is still in our own hands”.
I hope this isn’t a “look how far we’ve come” excuse being lined up by Uwe.
28 April 2014 at 5:37 pm #130401No, he’s saying that we can still do it. And we will!
29 April 2014 at 2:19 pm #130429I certainly don’t buy into this ‘Tired’ malarkey. Both the size and quality of our squad should have seen us comfortably in the play offs and we should on paper still do it but only if we beat Birmingham tonight ! Blackburn are a team in good form and I don’t fancy us beating them at theirs on Saturday should we not do the business tonight !
29 April 2014 at 3:53 pm #1304355 Reading 45 14 70
6 Wigan 44 13 70
7 Brighton 45 14 69
8 Blackburn 45 7 67
9 Bournemouth 45 2 66
10 Ipswich 45 5 65
11 Nottm Forest 45 4 65It’s certainly uncomfortable!
On Saturday, Reading entertain Burnley, who are no longer in the race. Brighton go to Forest, who are no longer in the race. And Wigan go to Blackburn, who are no longer in the race. It’s difficult to know what mood any of the opponents will be in.
Three points tonight will see us into the play offs. Birmingham have a shocking record, but are fighting for their lives – just as Blackpool were.

Blackburn are certainly still in the race if we lose by a couple of goals tonight.
29 April 2014 at 5:16 pm #130438Blackburn are certainly still in the race if we lose by a couple of goals tonight.Yes, you’re right. So it’s two out of four – and much closer than I thought!
A 2-0 defeat tonight and a 2-0 defeat on Saturday would take Blackburn above us as they would have scored more goals – 68 to our 57.
It would be much simpler if we just won tonight.
But who compiled these fixtures?
30 April 2014 at 1:45 am #130455Really bad today.Talking to my mate on the concourse we were really pleased with the team selection. Few of us would disagree that the selection was top…the players just didn’t perform today.
Uwe said in the programme that Blackpool would chase every ball; he wasn’t wrong.
They’re our bogey team. Last time we played them at ours we thought it was a given…erm 0-4 and my old mum got taken into hozzy in the morning as well
Don’t panic though chaps…we’ll be reet on Tuesday
Told you…some of you just need to keep the faith ;)
30 April 2014 at 1:53 am #130456How does everyone recommend that we tinker on Saturday, now that we are safely in the play offs ?
30 April 2014 at 1:59 am #130458No complaints about tinkering tonight …. We awaited the Garyy effffing Cladwell posts if it went wrong.
30 April 2014 at 1:59 am #130459Rosler will have to decide if anyone needs a game – perhaps Caldwell, Maloney or Espinoza.
He may also wish to play some players together – say Caldwell and Kiernan or Caldwell and Carson.
Then he has an opportunity to practise any tactics that he has in mind.
30 April 2014 at 1:59 am #130460How does everyone recommend that we tinker on Saturday, now that we are safely in the play offs ?I’d play the development squad and Nick Powell … bring the strutting poser down to earth!
30 April 2014 at 2:02 am #130462How does everyone recommend that we tinker on Saturday, now that we are safely in the play offs ?That’s easy Papa, we just say ” Lets recommend that we tinker on Saturday, now that we are safely in the play offs”
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!30 April 2014 at 4:35 am #130470No complaints about tinkering tonight …. We awaited the Garyy effffing Cladwell posts if it went wrong.Caldwell played well tonight. He’s comfortable as the spare man in the centre of a back 3.
It was an ugly win but job done.
Just got back enjoying my tea nd toast – with marmite !!!! :cheer:
