McArthur didn’t make much progress under Coyle. It’s Rosler who has asked more of him – and received it too.
Roberto has built his Everton team around the partnership of Barry and McCarthy. He broke this up for the visit of Palace – possibly to rest McCarthy, possibly to give Everton more personnel going forward.
For once, Roberto’s tactics played into the hands of the opposition. Barry and Barkley were no match for the powerful counter attacks of Puncheon and Bolasie. Palace, with their well-drilled defence, deserved their victory.
Still, Roberto’s challenging for a place in the top four, not the bottom four. He may make a successful football manager yet.

Me too. I have Lukaku in my fantasy team so I hope he scores. But I also have Evra in defence, so he really needs to score at least 2.

Defeat at Everton was more than United could bear.
There’s a vacancy for a promising young manager at Old Trafford.
I wonder if after this game, like at Everton last season, Roberto turned to Graeme Jones in the dressing room and once again said “We’ll that’s the best job interview we could have had” ??? ;)
