Well done to Mr Martinez and even more well done to you for waiting for this win today. Still bottom half of the table, even though it’s a pretty shit Premiership this season. Chelsea will win it by a country mile and our ex manager will not get his magnificent team into the Champs league again. Are you listening Mrkenwrong?

Eh? What on earth are you going on about? In what way?

Here’s a scenario: imagine it’s summer 2013, and Martinez has just announced that he’s going to reject the approach from Everton, and stay on as the manager and try to get Wigan back into the Premier League.

Would you have been happy with this news?

No right or wrong answer. I’m just interested to know.

Depends when you asked him. He changes his mind more often than Rosler changes his lone striker, and that’s going some

Yes I would have been happy with that, its the only reason I am miffed at him. He could have given it one shot and then buggered off, no matter what the outcome had been. OK, you might say he would have been stupid to turn that offer down, but I firmly believe he did turn Villa and Liverpool down, so why not Everton?. I also wasn’t chuffed him coming back for McCarthy, Kone and OOC Alcaraz. It was a bit like what that Flowers geezer did to the Saints player, only without the physicality.

Anyway thanks Standish for at least engaging in some discussion on this. Your bosom buddy just seems to haul personal insults if I have a go at “our Bobby”.

67% possession, no goals and only one point; nice football !

Apart from McCarthy the other three were hardly inspired signings.
Robles, Kone and Alcaraz have made a grand total of 19 appearances between them including all cup matches and substitute appearances.
Alcaraz was injured again yesterday and is expected to be out for a long period.

That was a great save from the bird man on Saturday, most goalies would have been proud of it. Once again, an absolute howler from the ref and his assistants, they seem to be getting worse. As for the refs in the championship, my 5 year old grand kid could officiate better. It’s not just us that have had some bad decisions, the teams we’ve played have also had as many.

Would be nice if Jordi sticks one finger up at Judas and scores the winner tomorrow. Get down to the bookies tomorrow and risk a pony.

                  From today’s Mail on Sunday:-

Meanwhile, Sunderland’s Jordi Gomez believes Everton boss Roberto Martinez has a future at one of Europe’s very top clubs.

He said: “With all due respect to Everton he has everything to become one of the top managers in the world. He can go higher”

I see this thread still has its finger on the pulse. Not.

With our current plight should this thread not be locked?. Bobby is doing a far better job at Everton that the sausage eater is here. Is it not a bit stupid to slag off RM when we are in danger of being relegated if fortunes don’t change?. Also I’m pretty sure that if we had the chance to bring him back at Roslers expense then we would jump at the chance. Lets let it go and worry about our own manager and club and let Bobby do his best.
