6 August 2015 at 12:12 am #143748Taylor has left. GET IN!!!Ipswich on loan.
That’s interesting thats two clubs he has gone to, he’s also signed a 1 year loan deal with reading.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!6 August 2015 at 12:13 am #143749Murray from Watford. Who the frig is that?? and why a loanee from bloody Watford?? Bet he is minted!Maybe for cover due to injuries in midfield to Cowie and Chow do you not read newspapers or latics official sites
6 August 2015 at 12:16 am #143750McNaughton,well at least it’s adding a bit of youth to the squad.
And an ever youthful Chris Kirkland
Just don’t get not keeping Boyce but signing these 2 unless we’re paying them in magic beans.
Boyce has gone to Blackpool for the same contract he was offered here I’m led to believe so he wanted away
This makes no sense. Really how do you know the terms and length of any contract offer from Blackpool?
As I understand it he is still on trial at Blackpool. What I do know is that McNaughton was training with Blackpool and then headed over to us. Boyce came in on trial after this.
The point is Dog, we didn’t release Boycie he himself chose not to accept the offer the club made him. From a playing point I like you would think being here rather than Blackpool should be the best option so he must have his own reasons for leaving.
Off course he has his reason, the same reason anybody in his position, after the service given would turn it down, he was offered pay as you play FFS!

Im sure I’m losing my memory. Just read that we turned down an Ipswich bid to loan him to Reading and then post completely the opposite :(

He’s 35 and has been getting slower.
6 August 2015 at 1:57 am #143759He’d have been slow enough for this division.
I’m sure I kept getting told last season we needed players who’d fight for the shirt too.
There’s been a lot of bollocks come out of the club mind this last 12 months.
6 August 2015 at 2:06 am #143760Updated, for some reason Jacobs wasn’t on the list.
Cheers SMB.

6 August 2015 at 4:03 am #143762If Huws, Holt and even Cowie had been fit they would be on the out list and watch out for Barnet, McKay and McCann being on it soon to be replaced with a couple or three who had slid out of Brighton or Rotherham’s reserves or a couple of loanees from Swansea.

There’s been a lot of bollocks come out of the club mind this last 12 months.
Maybe the club didn’t want to take the risk? Maybe they didn’t want to pay someone hansomly to sit in the stands when we need to slash our wage bill.
I loved Boycie as a player, but there is no sentiment in football/business unfortunately.
And no, I’m not just blindly applauding everything the ckub does, but I’m not just slagging them off either.

So you’ve got splinters in your backside through sitting on the fence again? You must be used to that supporting both sports.
I just keep seeing Humpty Dumpty sitting on a wall ;)

To reply to you seriously, my point was I would hope McNaughton and Kirkland were offered a similar deal to the one Boycie turned down, I suppose that stretches to anyone of a similar age to Boyce who we’re signing, who’s obviously done far less for the club.
IMO he was too senior for the “new era” but he like so many others offloaded could have got us off to a good start this season. As it happens we have to hope our completely new squad does something unheard off and gel immediately. Here’s hoping.
