I think they changed their name, so I am not sure what they are called now but I think they used to be Kirkham Town. (or maybe that is what they are called now from something else).
I used to do some work at a company in Kirkham and I think the owner also owns/owned Kirkham Town and they built a new ground somewhere near BAE in Warton, I have never been but similar photos are all over this chaps office and reception area, and that is about 30 miles from Wigan.[/quote]

My lad and his mate are camping – I’m just on support duty till about 12 30 ish – it’s to cold for my owe bones, I keep having a wander and a chat to different people but retreat back into my van with my flask and heater on – flaming nutters this lot

Try this one, its much bigger now than when I used to frequent the place 40 years + ago, but I spent many happy hours here, and still visit to this day at least once a year.

You are quite close, lets just say its one of 2 small Wigan outposts in that area, the other is just over that hill behind the house, but it has an ‘owd fella’ in its way as well.
This is the other little piece of Wigan
And if you look hard enough you can just about make out that ‘owd fella’ I was talking about.

Nearest I have been to low bank is taking My kids there, I don’t think it was doing that sort of thing when we were kids John.

didn’t wigan council have summat to do with Low Bank and another place in the Duddon Valley, Hinning House?
