The English national anthem is a one person dirge. Should be “Land Of Hope And Glory” or any other tune that isn’t a royalist boot-licking charade. Eg France “Marsellaise” Germany “Deustchland Uber Alles” Australia “Advance Australia Fair” and the best National Anthem in the world Holland’s “Het Wilhelmus”.
McClean is a British national earning his living in the country of his birth. He is employed in the private sector so I fail to see how he is somehow a servant of the people, protestant or otherwise, or can be accused of taking the Queen’s shilling.Maybe you should complain to the moderators about starting threads of this kind if you think this forum isn’t really the place for such debate but I doubt George would be all that interested.

How the frig can that prick have an opinnion on Britain when people die in pubs in Birmingham and Guildford and a young boy so innocent can be butchered on the streets of Warrington many miles away from the troubles in Ulster?. Does this bastard also have the same contempt for the poor souls of Enniskillen and Omagh ? Ulster folk as he is?
