23 December 2014 at 9:05 pm #13726223 December 2014 at 9:31 pm #137264I’m Next you crazy mother plucker :woohoo:
Are we turning into an Leeds and sacking a manager every few weeks when all and sundry can see it’s the bloody players who are the problem
If it is the players who are the problem & it seems most likely it is, only one man can sort out the problem – paul jewell
Paul Jewell FFS…..!
Why does his name crop up every time the manager’s position is being debated? He’s had his time here and took us to the PL for which he should be quite rightly admired and respected. But he left us when the job got too much for him and he’s done bugger all since.
And if you are referring to that incident regarding player power when he first joined the club, if I remember correctly he turned to Whelan to sort that out.
Sammy, my response was merely tongue in cheek. FFS!!

24 December 2014 at 2:02 am #137266I think the blame lies with DW ! I also think that a few players were not happy with his decision to bring in MM and also his pathetic attempt to defend him! There is trouble right through the camp and I reckon DW has lost the respect of some of the players!Obviously just my opinion but there is something seriously amiss!
How on earth could you possibly know that? And as most of these players’ perfomances were just as abject under Rosler, why would you make that leap?
I don’t know, that is why I said “I think” and “Obviously just my opinion” ! With hindsight ( And there are many who would say ” I told you so” )it would appear that the appointment of MM has been a massive faux pas! The blame therefore lies with the person who chose him and then employed him does it not? As for the Rosler business, I said in an earlier post it is possible that Rosler ended up being resented by some players and that the appointment of MM could have been met with disapproval by some players who may have made their feelings known? Who knows, but something is seriously amiss and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to come to that conclusion!

Not being funny fil but Malky was the overwhelming favourite with most on here before his appointment so don’t just blame Mr Whelan for it not being an instant success. He did what he thought was best for the club and who knows he may well yet be proved right. Changes must be made though and now.

I did use the word ‘Hindsight’ ! However, there were people who feared that the appointment could backfire! In other words, with the benefit of hindsight (And I am not referring to the shite form)perhaps employing him was a bad move! I don’t know what is going on behind closed doors but there is something going on! I am just trying to make sense of it all because a combination of our squad and MM should not be performing so bad!

It was always a controversial appointment but non of us could have imagined it would have gone so incredibly wrong. Mr Whelan must be distraught with what is happening and I’m sure he will be working overtime to rectify it, hopefully.

Whether your post was tongue-in-cheek or not it’s there as my response to those who seriously believe Jewell should be re-appointed as manager.
24 December 2014 at 10:09 am #137272Some of Mackays comments this week to the press have been very welcome and long overdue.
january is a crucial month for him and the club as if we continue this slide then I cannot see us getting out of it – a win at Leeds is a must .24 December 2014 at 12:30 pm #137274I think the blame lies with DW ! I remember Pulis being the majority vote actually. Malky was long odds on favourite with the bookies from early on. I certainly didn’t have him as my favourite.
In reply to vince, a win at Leeds is a must and they seem all over the place but I think we’ll go there not to lose, rather than to win. Can see Fortune on his own or no recognised forward again. Dare he?

A combination of our squad and Coyle, our squad and Rosler, our squad and Mackay shouldn’t have been performing as bad as they did/have. Where’s the common denominator there? Oh look, it’s the squad. Go figure!
And if the poor, pampered prima donnas are a tad offended by some text messages, I’d suggest they are very quikcly reminded who is the boss and who pays their wages.
24 December 2014 at 1:50 pm #137276You could easily replace Coyle, Rosler and Malky with ‘managers without a clue x 3’ and there would be an equally common denominator.
I don’t think any texting etc has any say in this but the general feeling of the club has gone downhill since Malky’s appointment and DW’s breakdown.
I think potentially Malky has gone soft on them, been all nicey, nicey, when he should have been motivating, because of his baggage and tried too hard to fit in and play the big names, most of which are midfielders.
I’d be happy for him to ditch one or 2 of them at Leeds.

Only you and Filmoss as far as I can see. The rest of us are feeling no worse or better than we did 5 games ago. Certainly my knees aren’t jerking like plenty other people’s are.
3 managers without a clue? So, I’ll ask you again, who would you replace him with? Horc is off the table, as are you – seemingly the only person who knows anything about football on this forum at the moment. Come on, which realistic option would you go for?
