What will that achieve? Will the buyers see it and think “we best get our bids in”? Will the admins look out the window and think “best stop selling players. Granted we’ll have no money to pay anyone, but at least the fans will be happy”?

The bit I cannot fathom is the administrator Krasners remark that this has been a far harder job than dealing with Leeds and they were over £100 million in debt.
I would like to know why?, who made it hard. We had very little debt, lots of assets and debts worth £35 million wiped.

Stem the flow of money out and you have a starting point. We still need to find money to pay bills as we have nothing coming in hence player sales etc.

We have bills and more importantly salaries to pay but we have no money coming in to pay them with. The only way we can raise money is to sell players. That’s a win win as well as it means we lower the salary.
Leeds would have still had all sorts of income streams from matches so once they plugged the hole where their money was vanishing to stabilising wouldn’t have been too difficult.
The human equivalent I guess would be paying your credit cards off when you have a job compared to when you don’t.
