Usual suspects in meltdown mode again.
3 April 2018 at 12:05 am #167926Elder Jacobs and Massey awful Portsmouth only had 2 days break yet we looked the jaded team no way a penalty but Dan put himself in that predicament by going to ground, the second defo foul on Morsey leading up to it, as they say a bad day at the office but all we need is 1 point from the games in hand and were second.
3 April 2018 at 12:06 am #167927Absolutely shite that could be game over hope I’m wrong..
I’ll put it in simple terms.
We were in the position that we could afford to lose two games, even in the unlikely situation that Rovers and Shrews won every single one of their remaining games.
Well, we’ve lost one, but we still have another loss we could cope with AND they have to win everything.
That’s not “game over” in my mind – but then again I’m not a manic depressive.
Absolutely spot on. Would u swap our position for anyone else’s? Bad day at the office today coupled with a couple of dodgy decisions. This in my eyes was our toughest fixture left. Charlton are flying and both Blackburn and Shrewsbury have to play them.
3 April 2018 at 12:14 am #167928A bigger response already than from the posts after the Oldham win.

It looked like two penalty decisions decided the direction of the game from where I was stood ( Fratton Park). Both of which the ref got wrong.
Onwards and upwards though, can’t get too hung up on the referee as I haven’t seen a good one all season.
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
3 April 2018 at 12:41 am #167931Usual suspects in meltdown mode again.Hope that’s not including myself. All I did was make honest observations. We still have the games I’m hand and I think we will be champions by the time we play Wimbledon at home. Had we gone in at half time all square, we wouldve won that today. Bad penalty decision.
3 April 2018 at 1:10 am #167932Yet again struggled against the better sides ……Ok rodgered Oldham and did it with ease too but another laboured 1st 45 mins aka Rovers and a vastly improved 2nd half again, but on this occasion too little too late. Still in great position but need to start with our best 11 in every game and Massey doesn’t fit that pkan.Elder surely can’t perform that badly again and Powell for all his fancy dan shit created nowhere near what Dack does for Rovers. He doesn’t release the ball at the optimum time and a lot of his good work fizzled out or earned some iffy free kicks. The 2 goals had tons of fortune involved but I thought Portsmouth earned the 1st goal with their closing down and graft.A bad day but we are in a position to rectify that but we need to start games more aggressively.

Bad penalty decision.
Maybe so but If you go to ground attempting to tackle an opposing player in or on the edge of the penalty box you are asking for trouble.
I think Clark Kent had been in the vicinity of some green kryptonite prior to kick-off.
3 April 2018 at 3:16 am #167934I think I saw a different game to everyone else. Whilst we didn’t play well we bossed a game against a team that are normally very dominant at home. They never looked like scoring in open play, fair play to their lad he swivelled and finished very well. We had 4 or 5 players who didn’t turn up and cooky IMO should have stuck with the team that beat Oldham. If Grigg wasn’t fit he should not have been on the bench, as it happened he was fit enough to come on for 20 mins, he therefore should have started and brought off if or when he was struggling. Coco must feel himself so unlucky to be on the bench again. I’ll stick with Cooky’s decisions but those two baffled me. The usual suspects have plenty to say again, when sooo quiet following a superb run of results.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!3 April 2018 at 3:26 am #167935The Coco one was baffling after the run of results we’ve just had. It’s not like the lad was ready for a rest and we had being getting results with him playing. Was he carrying a knock? Hangover?
Also, Where is Reese James? Is he injured?3 April 2018 at 10:35 am #167936Gavin Massey getting picked any week baffles me.
3 April 2018 at 11:36 am #167937Have to agree with earlier post…if Grigg was fit then he should start rather than using him as the cavalry. Colclough on bench and Massey starting is a balls up. I really wanted us to win this league but think we fighting for 2nd ,Rovers defo look capable of continuing their run, we always seem to be liable to throwing in a bad one. Why did we buy Cole ??? The lad must wish he’d not bothered signing or is he another lame signing ?
3 April 2018 at 11:58 am #167938When Vaughan was on we left him up front on his jacks deciding to play the ball through the middle to him and starving him.
So at 2-0 down and under 30minutes to go wouldn’t 2up front bin the best option ?, no Cook decides to remain with one up front by bringing Grigg on and ? Start knocking it long. Now if Vaughan had of been on upsides Grigg im sure we’d have grabbed a point.Powell was still bringing the ball from the half way line till Cook decides to bring Roberts 15mins after Grigg had come on then Roberts ends up crossing the ball for Griggs goal.
My point been, were 2-0 down so for me 2up front was the way to go with 25 to go, either Grigg/Vaughan or Grigg/Roberts or Roberts/Vaughan
Massey ? What’s his role ??, im lost
Elder ?, liability,
But if theres one humongous problem we have
No pace or width what so ever, weres the scotch lad we bought ?, seems another waste along with Cole.
MacDonald ?
James ?
Fulton ?
Cole ?
Our bench bar Grigg was ultra light to say the least3 April 2018 at 12:39 pm #167939Absolutely bang on !!!

Our bench bar Grigg was ultra light to say the leastHow can the bench be light with 3 subs of Grigg who scored. Roberts who crossed and Coco who everyone seems to think should have started and the Scots lad you referred to (Walker)was on the bench too?
