Didnt go, didnt listen.
I will let those that did dissect todays heavy defeat.
But can I raise the question, why bring Kipre in for Dunkley, and also bring in Naismith as a replacement for Pilkington, and play Jacobs on right? Bad choices there, Paul Cook.
10 August 2019 at 9:20 pm #180257In a nutshell that Vatty.
Cooky nil Nobbers three but we’ll dust ourselves off and go again on Tuesday. Its an hard cruel league.10 August 2019 at 9:32 pm #180258Hope we not jinxed with that shite away form again….today pne to quick absolutely batterd us..
10 August 2019 at 9:35 pm #180259Kipre is better than Dunkley.
Naismith was superb.
We were shite.10 August 2019 at 9:37 pm #180260Where do you want to start…..in my opinion…Preston better all over park, quick in the tackle, snappy passing , great movement up front. Our defending 5 goals conceded already and Byrne looks 80yds off the pace.2 schoolboy headed goals conceded with calamitous defending on the right. Morsey needs to get back asap, steel in middle needed. Completely overun in the middle albeit some of the refereeing 1st half reminiscent of last season’s game.Thought Naismith was our best player today also Moore looks a handful.Still our defending has not improved from last season…..and Preston haven’t signed a player!!!
10 August 2019 at 9:38 pm #180261I agree.if for is out him from Blackburn may get a shout.
10 August 2019 at 9:48 pm #180262Pilks out so why just swap like for like instead moving Jacobs and why bring Kipre in ?Evan’s piss poor got zilch all afternoon. Anyone who thinks we play better without Morsey needs a lobotomy!!!!!!
10 August 2019 at 9:49 pm #180263Nothing wrong witn Kai playing but it should have been at the expense of Cracker or not at all. Two right sided players on the bench is just daft. A few months ago we beat these men and although they were on the beach and had loads of injuries we still beat them. Cant remember the side but very similar to todays but with Powell, James, Morsy and Massey. Windass isnt Powell, McCleod isnt Morsy, Jacobs on the right isnt Massey. Nobody anywhere is James.
Still we have so many new recent faces its sort of like pre season really so we cant take much from it apart from nothings changed from away games last season.10 August 2019 at 9:57 pm #180264The burning question is why does Cook make these ridiculous changes after a good start last week ?…Some of our play was woeful particularly midfield. Virtually lost every 2nd ball, caught in possession endlessly and giving ball away cheaply time after time.
10 August 2019 at 10:17 pm #180265Oh well! After last week is it back to cook out???
10 August 2019 at 10:18 pm #180266The burning question is why does Cook make these ridiculous changes after a good start last week ?…Some of our play was woeful particularly midfield. Virtually lost every 2nd ball, caught in possession endlessly and giving ball away cheaply time after time. Was no need to change anybody, apart from Pilkington who is injured. Don’t change a winning side! Unless you have to.
However, I thought we were slow to 2nd balls last week as well, and gave the ball away cheaply at times.
The statistics today clearly show Preston were deserving of their win.
Oh and someone said Byrne is off the pace? I thought as much last week.
10 August 2019 at 10:53 pm #180267Can’t believe Kipre is still at our club, he cannot mark a bingo card. I’ve said it before his positional play for a pro is awful. He gets the odd clearance in and people see that when they’ve missed 3 or 4 previous mistakes.
I said it before the kick off and I’ll say it again, we will flood goals in with Cedric Kipre in the team, he wouldn’t get a spot on the bench for me. The other change as people have said was very strange, why not replace like for like, is that what’s having at least two players for every position all about. For me the back four should have been as last week and either Lowe or Massey in for Pilks end of.From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!10 August 2019 at 11:10 pm #180268For once I think we all agree…I certainly agree about Kipre and against Cardiff and certainly today Byrne looked completely out of his depth.
10 August 2019 at 11:11 pm #180269We are dreadful in defence. Letting balls bounce when they need to be met, poor marking and keeper seems to lack presence and flap at every ball. We play with little width and midfielders are like statues and technically poor. To play quick you need to stand on half turn not facing your own goal for gods sake. Takes 4 touches to move play forward. Williams looked an improvement on what we had and Lowe showed some decent touches. Be interesting to see how long it takes for this week’s signings to get a chance!
10 August 2019 at 11:14 pm #180270Oh…..and Naismith at C/H ,Christ…..Swap Neil for Cook anyone!???
