Surely we are no different to any club at the minute in that we are being propped up by Premier league grants and government hand outs. Can’t think many clubs have reserves that have lasted 12 months almost with no fans and our outgoings must be less than almost all League One and Two clubs with only 3 senior players left at the club. Just reading we have been given around 6 million over the last season from the Premier League over the last season.
6 January 2021 at 8:31 am #190505Other way for me Cdub.
If they got cold feet then I suspect they will advise us of why.
If it turns out everyone from the efl to the supporters club were right about them then they’ll just vanish into the night like the rest.
I’m glaf the efl did their job. If it is cold feet due to brexit, what would have happened if they already owned us?
6 January 2021 at 8:55 am #190506I saw a report yesterday that the admins have continued to be in talks with previous & future interested parties whilst waiting for the Spanish bid to finalise. I’m not sure how these things work in all honesty. But if this is the case, why did they continue with their eggs in one basket?
6 January 2021 at 10:11 am #190507Not sure thats true runny lad. Stanley said on twitter there were no other bids (which we know was a lie) so he clearly wasnt speaking with anyone.
6 January 2021 at 2:27 pm #190508Administration were happy to accept the reduced bid and the following 15pt deduction but Moreno wanted the deduction waiving. That’s the only reason those club screwing vultures rejected the bid. Horrible set of turds they are.

Anyroad check out the Latics website and Wigan Today for updates on the takeover.
Fuck the EFL
6 January 2021 at 5:31 pm #190516Where’s that scruffy fucker who was spouting his mouth off on someone’s podcast about how his consortium could bring investment not just to the football club but to the whole town and its health service?
Time to step forward fella….
6 January 2021 at 5:59 pm #190518Well some of us can bullitt lad

Its the EFL rules that if you do not pay who you owe a percentage you are deducted 15 points. The offer the Spanish would have not been enough to pay the creditors.
What admin failed to point out is and mudhutters “NEED TO ASK ADMINISTRATORS” is,
Who pays the admin bill and when is it paid. Also, as it stands up till now (ball park figure) how much is owed to them in fees due to date. I’d like bet they turned the Spanish bid down, not because creditors wouldn’t have been paid but more like they would have got all their astronomical fees.Don’t be shocked if we owe to the scum more than the clubs £3million sale figure.
Fcukin vultures scumbags picking the bones and still milking it to the end.7 January 2021 at 12:31 pm #190520The administrators said it was the Spanish who pulled out because the EFL would not waive the 15 points deduction as a result of the reduced bid being insufficient to pay creditors the minimum amount. There was no mention of them rejecting the reduced bid which begs the question are they guaranteed to receive their full fee in the event of any sale?
7 January 2021 at 6:08 pm #190521I would accept a 15 point deduction & league 2 if it means we still have a football club to support.
8 January 2021 at 9:39 am #190522You might accept the 15 points deduction but not many potential buyers would. Would you by a club with no revenue, stripped of nearly all its assets knowing your going down again due to 15 points been deducted and faced with a huge financial rebuilding job ?.
My argument is with the EFL, will they waiver this 15 points ruling when (and I stress when) clubs start to drop like flies??.
In these Covid times this is we’re rules need to be bent to help clubs get through. On about stick the knife in and keep turning it just to make sure.
I still can’t stop thinking about that late daft Charlton goal, how different things would be8 January 2021 at 12:07 pm #190524You might accept the 15 points deduction but not many potential buyers would. 9 January 2021 at 11:57 am #190525Would love to hear the Spanish side of the story.Did they just get cold feet or have the admin been up to their old tricks again ?
