Disturbing news in the paper today, admin talking to a failed and banned business man about possible takeover but won’t be paying creditors so will take the 15 points deduction and relegation and sell or abandon dw and play at sports Village, this can’t be allowed to happen.

If all we can attract is ‘con-men’, i think the ‘fat-lady’ has left the building.

I still can’t stop thinking about that late daft Charlton goal, how different things would be[/quote]

I felt when that goal went in it was a significant moment , like a dagger in the ribs event.
The following day those undeserving underachieving bastards from Yorkshire grabbed a late victory at forest and an unlikely
          lifeline.
I doubt they would have had any belief The following day we would have been sorted by the Sunday night.
As you can see I cannot even mention their name and I tell you now 100% if the same happens to them in the future I will have zero sympathy no danger!
A huge mess and never ending saga that is looking grimmer by the day.

The more I think about this take over in these times the more I think we are well and truly fcuked.
Even if someone came in next week with an offer on the table I’m sure the EFL will fcuk us up grand style by taking even longer than the 3 months it took.
Then we have the likely hood that someone within that bid raided their school tuck shop float while and therefore be found unfit to run a football club.

Then we have admin who have totally devastated the clubs assets by selling everything no negotiating sales and all for peanuts (Euxton been the bargain of the century) I just cannot see how we can survive.

It would basically need a multi millionaire to throw frithful money at us with no promise of a return. So for me get ready for liquidation. The Spanish have led us a merry dance while admin said
Na, its ok, we’ve got this one at hand we don’t need to keep our options………..

Wow! Moreno, were u go my liddle frend??

            #190530

I dont blame Moreno the EFL faffed about so long that we are are now in lockdown yet again and no prospect of fans at games now till probably next season. It was blindingly obvious he would reduce the offer. Between them the EFL and Admin have made a right pigs ear of this. If the bid was sketchy as admin pricks are making out then why the hell did THEY keep extending the exclusivity rule. It has been cock up after cock up and now that shithouse Stanley is blaming everybody except the real culprits, themselves.

              This is how in panned
No one was coming forward, lots were hanging around in the background then the Spanish came forward with a deposit.

One the the guys failed an EFL check therefore delaying but admin decided on the easy option to stick with it and extend it not once but twice. Although the person was only putting in a small amount of money and he was not been added to the board the EFL felt it was right to knock him back.
Admin then thought it was solid enough bid and the Spanish meant business so why offer it to anyone else ?? they must mean it as they’ve paid the deposit !! so even though exclusivity ran out lets not offer i to anyone else ,HUGE MISTAKE!!..But admin said, it was the only bid, true, this was the case but you refused to take any other interested parties serious as you weren’t listening because to them, you had put all your eggs in one basket and got it oh so fcukin wrong.

Delay after delay by the EFL meant the takeover pushed into and through December and then woooosh Covid took a turn for the worse and the Spanish filled their nappies. When we were just about thinking about getting back into stadiums that door was slammed shut meaning no funds coming in till next season.
If the EFL had of got the finger out we could be in the hands of the Spanish but,,,,,,,,,

would that be such a good thing as we wouldn’t be the first club the Spanish put into admin and come Jan and Covid tightening they might have changed their minds as quick as the Chinese deadly duo did last year wack us straight back into admin and more than likely at a small profit.

The problem for me stemmed from the admin, exclusivity been extended twice then the EFL. Admin thought the Spanish was a done and dusted deal simply because they’d put a chunk of cash on the table then the EFL (1 man and his dog0 took a fcukin eternity to do basic financial checks 3 months in total which was an utter piss take of the highest calibre.

              Were the problem lies is,
When you sell a house business a sales contract of is drafted up. Solicitors iron out the finer points and both parties make sure both sides understand what’s for sale. In the case of a football club it’s different there’s a 3rd party, an overseeing inapt organization called the EFL who have proven to be useless, understaffed and not qualified enough to do these simple checks. Not only that in these trying times business has to be conducted at the speed of light and they have proven the are incapable and for me they will be our downfall of our club.

              Then admin,
Although the Spanish bid was the only bid that was because they were in exclusivity they should have kept other interested closer so close they were ready with bankers drafts in place to move straight in, if it ever fell through which it did then they can step straight into their shoes and complete within days
              but
ELF like I said took 3 months to go over the Spanish, 3 months we do not have. They cannot speed up as they do not know how and because they fcuked up first time round with Choi and Way they are been over cautious to the point that, if your short changed someone while working behind a student bar you cannot run a football club.

It’s the role of the admin to do their best in finding us a buyer and with the Spanish they totally got it wrong. They were hoodwinked into thinking they were good guys “HEY THEY MUST BE THEY PAID A DEPOSIT” admin were not been prepared with a pan B, talking to other interested parties while the deal was going though. Admin have now stated that the sales contract is in place so it’s a case of others running over it. So if that’s the case why didn’t admin not do this when exclusivity ran out for the Spanish, hand sales contracts out to other interested parties, I’ll tell you why , it was too much like hard work.

              For me exclusivity is utter fcukin crap and right now, cannot work, it’s got to be a first come first served, contacts handed out there you go that what’s for sale so;

Draw up a contract of sales,
Pass it onto all interested parties,
              Negotiate the right price,
No deposit, cash down and buy.

But at the end of the day, time will be our downfall, the EFL cannot move fast enough so an independent party needs to be brought in to do the checks in days not weeks. And those potential buyers need to be prepared and show clarity as to who they are and were the funds are coming from.

              And my final question,

who keeps the Spanish deposit ? and how much was it?

Wasn’t it 300k? Roughly 10% of the full price yeah?

The money was non refundable, and seems to have paid the wages last time. The problem veing these next wages…if nothing happens, we have no money and will basically be finished….

…until we sell Joseph and McGurk. If we get to another ‘we must sell’ scenario, its time to give up.

Exactly so, as fans we have 3 choices

Dip into our pockets to fund the monthly wage bill. We need a target, a figure monthly to aim at so let’s says its 250k we have a target to meet.
                  Or
Option 2 sell our prize assets for peanuts
                  Or
Option 3 the unthinkable liquidation and start again 10 tiers down.

I’m still staggered that with all his wealth DW has gone silent and disappeared off the planet.
I know if it was me I couldn’t and wouldn’t watch it die without helping even if only for a month or 2 or buy it and give it back to the supporters club who can then offer it as part of the sale free for a % on the board along with their 800k
DW beggars belief, you can take it with you

                  #190535

The efl will make sure we finish the season. They won’t want another mid season liquidation.

                  After that who knows.

Im still blaming the admins in this for flogging a dead horse. Everyone told them the spanish were no good in one way or another but they just carried on with exclusivity and then claimed there were no other bids. How does someone bid for something that isn’t for sale and that you won’t talk to them about?

I would still like to hear the Spanish side of the story. They did say at one point they would wait as long as it takes to buy us and nothing would put them off. Then ,suddenly ,they drop us like a stone.Something must have happened. Is it the admin moving the goalposts yet again? Just as we were waiting for confirmation of the sale stories started to emerge that clubs were interested in buying Kyle Joseph. Was that a coincidence or was it the admin actively trying to sell him from under their noses ?

I’m sure it was stated somewhere that DW is no longer in control of his faculties and his family had power of attorney over his finances. So he isn’t taking it with him. His family aren’t interested in Latics, so I don’t blame them one bit for not giving their inheritance away to something that isn’t important to them.

When we went into administration. Dw came out saying he gona get to the bottom of what has gone on at our club.since then we not heard a word .dont say things if you cant go through with it.🤣

He probably did get to the bottom of what was going on and put it in the war chest for safe keeping…

All eyes on Derby County now, let’s see how the EFL deal with them. Will they treat them any differently? I would say yes because they are a ‘Big’ city club who won a league about 40 years ago. The same way they looked after Leeds for the same reasons, and Notts Forest to some extent.

                        #190542

The PFA will step in and pay the Derby players like they did with Bolton and Bury. Us we had to sell everything off to pay our players or it was the end.
