They are two separate companies.
Company A owns the stadium – https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/07283993
Company B owns the club – https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/00270043The admins are selling them as a piece which js what they wanted all along but could still sell them in parts as they have done with Euxton and Sharpies. Selling Euxton wasn’t asset stripping the football club as the club never legally owned it.
Company B paid rent to Company A. The original list of creditors posted by the admins showed a substantial bill to Company A.
The Spanish may choose to register the companies separately as they are now in which case they will own the stadium but WAFC won’t. Alternatively they may choose to register both under the one company.
30 November 2020 at 1:58 pm #190129Looks like only one company setup Ad ‘AFC WiganAthletic’ so they might list the stadium as an asset of the club this time.
Unless I missed a company name for the stadium somewhere.
30 November 2020 at 2:00 pm #190130Sorry Egg , I still don’t get it ( must be my age ).I understand the selling of Euxton and the chippy but if Company A and Company B are both bought by the Spanish then Latics new owners will own the stadium. If they own the stadium why do they have to pay rent ? Maybe it’s a point the Spanish have been making !
30 November 2020 at 2:31 pm #190131Latics previous owners owned the stadium. The stadium however wasn’t an asset of the football club.
30 November 2020 at 2:35 pm #190132I reckon we have the thickest fanbase in England. All moan about the goings on of the admin and takeover and have less than no idea how business shit works.
30 November 2020 at 2:53 pm #190134Bit harsh Mr Barlow ,I’ve got feelings you know !I take your point but why does everything in business have to be as clear as mud ? It’s infuriating.

We are absolutely screwed if the EFL don’t give the green light this week ! Desperate for leadership and reinforcements. WTF is taking them so long ? Have they appointed Sean Connery to investigate the Spanish connection ? Somebody from the administrators & council should be putting pressure on the EFL to get their act together. I’ve dealt with multi-million pound contracts and it doesn’t take that long to investigate the credibility of potential bidders. if it only took them two weeks, that would be five times longer that they spent checking out Egg Fou Yeung !

So there must be an issue somewhere and they want to double tick every box after last time. They don’t want another club going to the wall.

Sorry young Egg, can’t agree with you on that.
If an issue is uncovered, you challenge it immediately before wasting time on the remaining criteria !
The EFL won’t bat an eyelid if they drive the Latics into extinction !FTEFL
2 December 2020 at 8:53 am #190138Who says they haven’t challenged what they’ve found? If they hadn’t we would possibly have an answer by now
2 December 2020 at 12:36 pm #190139The sand of time is quickly running out for us,
if the Spanish bid fails are other bidders willing to be ground down by the EFL,
dragging it’s feet, before a decision is made?We don’t want another Choi owner, but we could be liquidated very soon.
2 December 2020 at 1:59 pm #190140I have said all along if the Spanish bid is not accepted we will fold. Any new bidders who have to go through the fit and proper test will pull out when they realise they will not be able to bring players in to avoid certain relegation. It’s just over 7 weeks till the transfer window closes so our only hope is the Spanish as they will have time to recruit players we desperately need. Any other bidders will simply not get a transfer window by the time the pathetic morons at the EFL have spent forever doing a new fit and proper test. It’s time to start praying boys coz we are in a deeply grave situation now.
2 December 2020 at 8:04 pm #190141We won’t be liquidated
2 December 2020 at 9:47 pm #190142Do you know summat we dont egg lad?
2 December 2020 at 9:56 pm #190143If the Spanish bid fails, who is going to pay all the bills/debts,
to stop us from being Liquidated? -
