This is all bollox really the EFL pricks are dragging this out over 1 million when we are probably due more than that once out of administration in what the gobshites have held back and when do we get the money for players we have sold before all this. Clubs still owe us I’m pretty sure

It’s only been dragged out because of Cristo. Perhaps the EFL dont want the same thing happening to us twice, or they dont want to be seen as being incompetent again for that matter. Had they been more careful first time around we wouldnt be having these discussions now.

“Can’t believe the EFL just waved the Chinese through”

“Can’t believe the EFL won’t just wave the Spanish through”

So you’d be happy for them to sign them off without checking if they actually have the necessary money to support the club?

Then what happens in 18 months when what bit if money they have runs out?

Fuck me our fans are retarded.

That seems to be the case – it was Christo (and his brother?) that the EFL didn’t like. And I have to say that Krasner’s comments from the Wigan Today website says it all really –

“All I’d say is there seems to be a lot of people who don’t understand what an NDA is, and there’s nothing we can do in any case, because we’ve got exclusivity here. If we withdraw the exclusivity, the Spanish would walk – and then you’d have around seven groups who all tell me they want to buy the club…until I tell them to open their cheque book! It’s just people who have had their chance, now coming back and trying to get it on the cheap. The Spanish were the only people who gave us non-returnable money up front. Others wanted to discuss it with us, but they didn’t want to put any money forward. We can all talk a good talk…but it’s only a cheque book that makes you listen.”

I’ve never understood Nandy saying that we should open this up to other people – they all had a chance to do something and didn’t! It’s not like the Spanish rushed in and jumped the gun on everyone – they made a bid and put down a substantial deposit to get the exclusivity that was promised. Now that they have removed from the bid the people the EFL were concerned about, and the remaining people show they still have the necessary funding for two years, this should simply be a rubber-stamp job for the EFL.

If it’s not sorted by the end of this week then we can only then assume that the people at the EFL are the incompetent ones holding everything up!!!

I’ll give it 6 months before Garrido is on the board.

Why drag this on so long, it is obviously a not so good deal so why not let the other bidders on the sidelines get in there.

Or is the ultimate aim of these administrators to make sure we can’t deal in January?

Maybe they have a bet on us being relegated, wouldn’t be the first time

From what I’ve seen elsewhere, the takeover is going to be happening soon! 🤞🤞

Looks like things are finally starting to move ,fingers crossed. We all need to get behind the new owners and give them our full support.Opinion has been split over the last few months but we must remember the real villains in all this are our previous owners who left us completely in the s..t !Initially , I honestly thought we were dead and buried but ,hopefully ,now we will slowly start to see the green shoots of recovery.

Could be a massive week for Latics.Let’s hope the takeover is completed.I am getting worried that our younger players are attracting interest from the vultures.I hope it’s not the admin putting their feelers out trying to get one last pay day.If it is ,it could scupper the deal with the Spanish who would be justified in pulling out.Fingers crossed everything will go through and if any players are sold in January we will get their true market value and the proceeds re invested in team.

I’m sure there’ll be no more sales by all accounts admin do not officially have the powers to sell at the final stages (with the solicitors).
Imagine buying a house and on the day of the sale you take out the kitchen. I’m sure the deal will include (at the time paperwork was drafted up) everything including players will be frozen from been sold.

Let’s hope if Joseph does get sold we get a few million for him rather than the take the p1ss 150k been banded about.
Its time the finger was taken out our clubs arse so we can start to trade and deal and remain in League One.

You’d like to think so, but hasnt the value of the club been set at a nominal £1, with the assets of significant value being the stadium and the training ground?

You could see these shysters flogging another couple of players and reducing the valuation of the club from £1 to 75p.

I don’t think so, I think admin know its a matter of time and any sale of any remaining assets while the deal is in the very last stage could jeopardise the whole takeover.
Deals like Joseph will be done after the takeover were we should get 10 times the reported 150k.

My concern is, we need investment for players and wages. Not a war chest but a couple of million at least. I just hope these Spanish have weighed that into the equation along with staff and general daily running cost.

”Stanley admits he has been forced to consider what might happen if the EFL were to again raise a red flag – or even if the Spanish were to get sick of waiting and walked away.

“I have to consider the worst-case scenario.”

The Alarm bells are ringing loud,
i hope this is not the ‘END’ of Latics as we know it!
