If cook is relieved of his duties, who comes into replace him? ‘Arry redknapp has returned home after his stint in the jungle :) haha!!
15 December 2018 at 10:06 pm #174046If he goes …… who is in the wings to replace him?Lost to Ipswich but had good wins against Stoke and West Brom and the first day of the season, a day to savour!
We’d be winning if Callum Macmamamamum started.
Yup we lost; I wasn’t there but we had a lot of good attacks, hit the cross bar twice, got cold and should have 3 in 5 minutes against Derby.
Gg it’s all about taking your chances, and at the moment we’re not doing that, we need a play maker and a prolific goal scorer, and i don’t know what macca has to do to get a game.
15 December 2018 at 10:26 pm #174047Not for me he’ll have a full squad fit again soon and when he has let’s see what happens then.
15 December 2018 at 10:45 pm #174048Do you think the new owners will want to invest in Cooks choice of player come January and end up in Division 1 some of you would like to think they will but the facts are, thier business men this won’t happen. The rumours were flying around even before today’s game regarding Cooks future. Simple as he brought in a fair few players and non are up for the Championship.
Sorry to upset the Elton John rose tinted glass crew but he’ll be gone pretty soon. When you say rumours were flying around I presume you mean some completely uninformed sad sack made something up and posted it on Twitter.
15 December 2018 at 10:56 pm #174051Presume so Otter. I’ve seen nothing other than gutter press nonsense during the takeover (would happen anywhere) and then the new owners come out and say he’s brilliant.
If they weren’t a fan then he would be gone by now.
15 December 2018 at 10:57 pm #174052Not that anyone here would recirculate nonsense though
15 December 2018 at 11:04 pm #174053As usual though, we win and Cook is a genius. We lose and he’s out of his depth.Don’t get carried away fella,,
Einstein was a genius Cook is certainly not

We all make mistakes hey, like keeping hold of Cook till we go down once again.15 December 2018 at 11:33 pm #174057How anyone could think our forward line was adequate prior to the season is beyond me. Grigg may have been worth a shot but Vaughan who had guided Sunderland to relegation was always likely to be out of his depth. We don’t score away from home much and now this has spread to our home form.
6 points away from bottom 3 at the half way mark is fine by me given the investment Cook has had at his disposal and it remains to be seen if our new benefactors will invest in the squad. Powell will almost certainly be on his way in January and we will need reinforcements for sure. Cooks constant stubbornness in not playing Callum is absolutely baffling and I cannot for the life of me see why he was signed.
However, to compare him to Joyce and Mcckay is ignorance and he deserves better given results since he took over. We have probably spent one of the least in the division, have amongst the smallest crowds and anywhere near mid table should be considered a massive success given recent form when we have been promoted.
