Einstein’s teachers thought he was retarded.[/quote]
No they didn’t. Not is there any evidence that he had a learning disability such as dyslexia
Both urban mythsPaul Cook on the other hand wears a magic hat
Or was that John Deehan??????
16 December 2018 at 12:51 pm #174074So can the Cook suckers please make a case as to why we should retain Cooks services in 2019 ?
16 December 2018 at 12:54 pm #174075PC’s assessment:
“Everyone will have their own opinion on the game but I didn’t think we were ever in danger of losing the game, that’s for sure.
“We’ve got a pattern of away results now that are very disappointing, but it’s a tough league.
“It was two honest teams having a good go at each other in a really poor day for football – so the game was never going to be a good game.”
Never in danger????
16 December 2018 at 1:09 pm #174076Dont get me wrong, i am very frustrated with keeping on losing against the bottom clubs. However, on watching the highlights, they scored a deflected goal whilst we never took our chances – again!!! January is just around the corner. Im sure the new owners will invest money in the transfer window. Combined that with players returning from injury & i think we’ll do ok.
16 December 2018 at 1:20 pm #174077He’s 3 games to save his job. For me it needs a manager with experience at this level and above and players alike.
Look at the players Cook spent (wasted) cash on for a club in transition it beggars belief16 December 2018 at 1:43 pm #174078One of the many things I’ve enjoyed a lot of since I’ve been following Wigan is the excitement it provides ………. whether it be the last 15 minutes of almost every game, winning a cup and the journey there, winning leagues or avoiding the drop.
Who wants the tedium of mid table mediocrity and the relaxation of watching another meaningless game!??
16 December 2018 at 1:45 pm #174079Super SBarlow obviously memory deficiency…..praise when its dud as you’ll find I did after Derby e.g..So get your facts in order.1 point from last 27 away…..is that a reason to worry ? or are you so certain our home form will carry us home ?
16 December 2018 at 1:47 pm #174080GG, i for one would rather settle for mid-table mediocricity this season.
16 December 2018 at 2:07 pm #174082GG, i for one would rather settle for mid-table mediocricity this season.RF – looks like Radio Frequency – but anyway, you know .. to be honest … so would I, justa bit of cynicsm creeping in.
16 December 2018 at 3:43 pm #174084So can the Cook suckers please make a case as to why we should retain Cooks services in 2019 ?Maybe when you answer my question about where all those rumours you mentioned originated.

Where were you after wins against West Brom, Blackburn and Stoke? Or Sheff Weds, Rotherham and Hull?
16 December 2018 at 3:45 pm #174086GG, i for one would rather settle for mid-table mediocricity this season. And even that would be better than where we realistically should be. Sadly, half our fanbase actually think we’re a Premier League club.
16 December 2018 at 3:48 pm #174087So can the Cook suckers please make a case as to why we should retain Cooks services in 2019 ?We are currently achieving what we set out too at the start of the season?
Question back – Did you want Cook out last season when we won the league and beat 3 Premier League teams including possibly the best ever who only lost about 6 games out of about 50?
16 December 2018 at 4:23 pm #174088You can’t justify Cook leaving now.
But if we don’t average a point, or more, per game, from now until early January. A decision will need to be made. Our away form is dreadful, our home form will inevitably falter. At which point we’ll be one of the relegation favourites.
‘Who wants the tedium of mid table mediocrity and the relaxation of watching another meaningless game!??’
That’s exactly what this club needs. Each relegation has seen us shed yet more fans, despite coming back up. It would be a huge gamble to expect us to gain promotion a third time. Not to mention see us overhauling the squad yet again. Unless the owners spend above and beyond to secure our position in the Championship. We are in danger of slipping even further down the leagues. Don’t underestimate the need to stay up this season.
