16 July 2018 at 2:41 am #170294In the last 330 minutes of football England managed 6 shots on target.
That is just not good enough. Harry Kane played so deep he may as well been in midfield.
The only bright spots for England were the keeper, left back and one of the central defenders.
The whole game plan and tactics revolved around set pieces.I was agreeing with everything there donny until your left back comment. Thought the left back / side was poor personally.
16 July 2018 at 2:58 am #170295The French are quietly going about their business and are my tip to do well.

Not without more than a little help from VAR never a penalty in the memory of man. How the ref saw that as deliberate hand ball after seeing it from every angle is unbelievable. No point anymore of even protesting it. I lost interest in the game after that.[/quote]
Couldn’t agree more NL and that was never a free kick for the french first goal. Cheating bar stewards…
Thought Croatia played really well but got the stuffing cheated out of them..16 July 2018 at 3:47 am #170296In the last 330 minutes of football England managed 6 shots on target.

I think he meant right back (Trippier), no one on this earth could say Young was a bright spot. I wouldn’t have him at Wigan and we don’t even have a left back at the moment.

Agree.
Weak links were….Young, Henderson, and Sterling. And apart from his goal, Lingard was poor and Alli wasn’t fit. Didn’t give Rashford enough game time.
Trippier has added 10 Mil to his price tag, he played outstanding. Maguire did really well too and I can see United or someone in for him. Leicester are imploding Mahrez gone. ..Maguire next?
16 July 2018 at 11:52 am #170303How is selling your best players for large profits “imploding”?
Based on that logic we’ve been imploding our entire existence.
Not a fan of Henderson, but thought he had a good tournament.

Henderson was better than I expected, and certainley better than Dier (sp). None of the midfield are creative enough.
We need a Gascoigne, Beckham or a Gerard in the middle or another Scoles or Lampard.
Lallana would be in Russia if he were fit and he would have improved our midfield..17 July 2018 at 5:05 pm #170348In the last 330 minutes of football England managed 6 shots on target.

In that case agree with everything. Trippier was one of the star performers.
