Can’t you just enjoy it? What a great world cup it’s been, great games, surprises, good tv times, and England got to the the semi. Some things are there to enjoy.
14 July 2018 at 2:01 pm #170256What we lacked was a stand out creator in midfield who could thread the ball to Kane and Sterling. Henderson is a good lad at what he does but he is no Gazza. For me the player we missed most and would have definitely made us tick is Lallana. Get him back and fit for the Euros and then we can see if this squad is any good.
14 July 2018 at 2:07 pm #170257He’s going to get even less game time at Liverpool now that Shaquiri has been signed.
14 July 2018 at 3:52 pm #170258In the last 330 minutes of football England managed 6 shots on target.
That is just not good enough. Harry Kane played so deep he may as well been in midfield.
The only bright spots for England were the keeper, left back and one of the central defenders.
The whole game plan and tactics revolved around set pieces.14 July 2018 at 4:20 pm #170259Ive enjoyed this tournament obviously helped that im watching it in the sun on my hols. Also for once im on a no lose bet backed France at 8s and Croatia ea way at 33’s at start so after years of having a financial dabble in these tournaments and being close but no cigar im finally on a winner .Croatia would obviously return more so thats 1 reason why I want em to win but I also think they will win.Not the flacky talented team of years gone this team looks hard as nails….technically superb,3 extra times in this competition alone….if France dont put em away early(and I don’t
Think they will) then theres only one winner for me the longer game goes on.14 July 2018 at 4:26 pm #170260Talk about glass half empty. After scoring a shed load in qualifying we comfortably beat a Sweden team that finished above the Champions Germany in their group after beating a decent Colombia side deservedly followed by a draw against a Croatian side that ripped Argentina to pieces. We have the youngest side is the tournament and have recently won the u20 and u17 world championship. Surely there are reasons to be optimistic!

Surely there are reasons to be optimistic! Its anything to have a moan with some folk, there seemed to be more optimism for Belgium in this competition than for our own country, the culprits should be tried for treason.
I’m surprised no one has started a thread on where it all went wrong for Martinez and Belgium!
Fuck the EFL
14 July 2018 at 6:43 pm #170262I am sure you’ve had the odd moan here and there about our own club Bullit which is far worse than pointing out a few truths about the gang of pampered premier league rich kids playing for England.
I reckon you and a few others will have a lot to say if the Latics don’t hit the ground running which is highly likely in this league and especially so after not strengthening the squad for the challenge.
If we don’t strengthen and finish top half Cook will deserve a medal.14 July 2018 at 6:49 pm #170263Talk about glass half empty. 14 July 2018 at 7:13 pm #170264Yes that’s spot on. We lost to Croatia and could only muster up a draw against the Cartels 11. That’s what it was.
14 July 2018 at 7:41 pm #170265Now the Spanish Judas waiter and 3rd division golden boot boy rubbing salt in the wounds.lol.

I’ll bet you’re made up England didnt reach the final otherwise you wouldnt have much to whinge about.

14 July 2018 at 8:31 pm #170267Not at all made up to see my country knocked out. I am sure our collective group of millionaires did their best but the problem is we are just not good enough. Our best is not good enough to win tournaments. I don’t even think our fitness levels are the best either. This showed in the second half against Croatia. My main moan or grievance is with the football authorities and the Premier League who are responsible.
14 July 2018 at 8:56 pm #170268Of much more importance Latics won 2-1 at Tranmere with Grigg and Walker scoring. Meanwhile England made it 3 defeats in the tournament getting beaten 2-0 with Bobby’s mob.
14 July 2018 at 8:58 pm #170269Do you think the fans of the Germans, Argies, Spaniards, Brazil will be thinking like that, whats their excuse?
Fuck the EFL
