we e the final though, I hope the club is savvy about how they sell final tickets. We’d get 25k so make it first come first served for ST holders, max 2 per ticket, for first week of sale. Then any what’s left on general sale. That would also eradicate any need for mad queuing at daft hours, apart from when the few that’s left go on general sale.

Season ticket holders would be sorted and have a week to casually get a ticket.

Sorry for quoting my previous post, but if we do get in the final, every gobsh#%e in town will want a ticket and the club are going to have to be very careful about how they sell them. They can’t make it 3 per season ticket. I think they could make it 2 per ST, if you think we have between 10 and 12k ST holders. Give ST holders a week to go and claim their tickets, and the 3-4,000 left could then go on general sale.

No need for ST holders to have to go and queue, if they do this. Is there? If they mess up and it becomes a big free for all, 25k might not go far with all and sundry wanting one. Come to think of it, how many councillors, etc will be on the claim for a ‘complimentary’ ticket? That 25k could soon become 23 or 22k. Well, as long as the ST holders all get one.

Yes, we have to beat Millwall first![/quote]

ABL, if we get to the final then as you say season ticket holders should have first shout but then second dabs should be to the folkes without season tickets who actually have a ticket from the semi. Reward them rather than the jcl who fancies a day out at the final…

If, God forbid, we lose against Millwall, I will have no sympathy whatsoever for anyone who has chosen not to go the semi because they are saving themselves for Wembley – whatever the reason.

agree they may not even get a ticket for final because we get 25k

When the Millwall team get carried along to a shock victory on the wave of their vociferous support, those Wigan fans that chose not to go to the semi to support their team best not complain

You sometimes have to be cruel to be kind.

That’s what I was always told, as I got a belt round the ear.

Yes, totally agree, and in all honesty I thought the same myself.

The only problem with that for me is that if we have sold around 15k tickets so far, haven’t the greater percentage of them been sold to ST holders anyway? I’m not convinced we’ve sold many to non ST holders anyway.
And also, if they did make it Semi ticket holders after ST holders, how would they administrate it? Can used tickets be swiped and show who was the purchaser? Tickets don’t have your name on, do they? I just think it could get chaotic.

How’s about if we get in the final Mr Whelan lays on some coaches and on production of your semi ticket you travel for free?

Of course, GarswoodLatic is right. Lets beat Millwall first! I agree with Griff’s comments as well.

Now by starting your comment with the words ‘God Forbid’ I presume you think that we should really beat them and so if we don’t, surely you will be crestfallen and the whole Wembley thing will quickly pale into insignificance, after all nobody remembers a beaten FA Cup semi finalist now do they ! Should we win then our opponents in the final will see us as the big underdogs and so people will sort of half ( If not wholly ) expect to lose ! It isn’t the first time that Wigan have been to Wembley, far from it and so if people have chosen to omit the semi because they think we should get to the final then surely that is their prerogative. I am sure that for many it will be a family thing and so 2 trips to Wembley within a month really would be an expensive sundry ! I myself am going to Texas ( ha ha ha ) the week after and so therefore I will not have enough away day points available to cash in with the Mrs but should we get to the final then I would risk being kicked out, now that has got to be dedication ! Would you go if the Mrs said your clothes will be in a bin liner on the front when you get home !! ;)

Would be a nice touch, but I think there’s more chance of getting a personal invite to fly down there in his helicopter.

What a sad state of affairs when you see the need to be bribed to watch your team in an FA Cup Final.
