My biggest gripe at the moment is the role of Hendry Thomas. A defensive midfielder who breaks up the opponents attacks is all fine and dandy until you go behind. At this point the role of the defensive midfielder becomes redundant. So unless the manager tells him to push up we are always going to be a man light going forward, and therefore will always struggle to create chances. Another point which may raise a few eyebrows is James McCarthy. The lad is obviousy one for the future but at the moment I dont think he’s clever enough to outwit his marker. I watched him closely today and the game seemed to be passing him by as time and time again he gave up the chase on De Jong and Barry. The boys not quite ready in my opinion.

The sooner you put them under pressure the better. As soon as Di santo came on for Thomas the tempo lifted. If he had come on straight after the sending off you would have had over an hour to win the game instead of the 25 mins he got. Another tactical mystery from the spanish one,

Thomas was doing ok but as soon as Clattermole was sent off he should have been subbed immediately. Theres no need for a defensive midfielder when your playing against 10 men.

Two days to the deadline make them an offer to buy as we need permanent cover.

I’d like to think that todays result was due to the absence of Kirkland and not Zog. How anyone can rely on a goalkeeper that doesn’t train all week and only does gym work beggars belief. How the hell his he supposed to keep his reflexes in order. And bending over picking the ball out of the net cant be doing his back much good. Watching Al Habsi today was a joy to see a goalkeeper who was alert to everything going on around him and actually talking to his defenders.

Neil Warnock, he wont stand on the touchline motionless, but then again niether did a certain Mr Jewell

Edinburgh during the world cup Figueroa not once played at left back maybe the hondurans have realised that he’s better at centre half. I have to agree with loudmouth I think he’s very poor and he would struggle in this position in the championship.

Diame for me. Considering he got booked early doors he didn’t let it bother him one iota. If hes still here next season i will be amazed. My player of the season as well although if Charlie hadn’t become a one trick pony over the last couple of months it would have been him.

Sorry Abram i think your stats are wrong. Both Exeter and Torquay finished in the bottom four and we beat them both home and away. Did you mean bottom two Brighton and Hereford ;)

p.s Brighton didnt go down either
