      David James, Paul Robinson, Joe Hart, Rob Green, Ben Foster and Scott Carson

      I make that six English keepers who on their day as you put it are better all round keepers than Kirkland. In fact he is probably the worst keeper in the prem at commanding his area and general distribution.

            If a player signs at the beginning of the transfer window does he have to wait until the window shuts before he can play?

              Still, I thought we’d got a great deal at the time swapping him for Taylor, and its looking that way now.

              It was £6m + Taylor, which to me still seems a bit steep.

                    Tony Kelly for me as well, played the the game with a touch of arrogance like Cantona, who happens to be my fave Premiership player of all time.

                      Anyway, back to the thread. Agree with N’zogbia being MOM and believe he is getting some consistency in his game but one thing worries me after watching him time after time getting frustrated when we lost possession in good situations. My worry is that if we ourselves dont start showing consistency I can see him spitting his dummy out come January and will want away. My personal opinion of Charlie boy is that he is too good for our team.

                              Back to the original post – I’m afraid I’m not convinced about Mario.

                              Prepared to let it lie if he doesn’t start coming out, as he just has, with seemingly blaming everyone but himself.

                              Poor distribution from him consistently (and not just today) – and I don’t really think you can call him a defender.

                              That should have been Garswoods quote, dont know how that happened.
